There are a lot of choices and this is my first pricey backpack, even on sale. I wanted one of their cool camo prints but the grey was more affordable and fits better if only hiking. Grey also works well for hunting, too... Now, the hydration bag adds another 30+ bucks but my OCD forced the buy. I have to say, Badlands is a good US company. Some say this is small for anything more than a day... Me, I'm a minimalist and in SC Texas... Don't need a ton of cold weather stuff. It worked fine for a 3 days trip. Also, we hunt Whitetails... smaller deer. I wish we had Elk, but that's not in the cards. For my needs, this thing works great. If bow hunting, and need camo, Ill buy the cover.

Took this for my elk hunt was extremely comfortable and fit great I’m 6 foot 2 and 300lbs. I did it so can you.
