I have had this for a while now. I have used it to inspect drain pipes and the dryer vent and it allows me to see what is normally hidden and helps save money and frustration on where things are plugged. The cable is very stiff so it allows you to route it up some distance vertically. My dryer vent goes up out of the roof so this is quite helpful to inspect. It takes some effort to keep the camera from pointing directly at the side of the vent, but when it faces forward, can help you see what is ahead. The lights are a good feature as well.

I was looking for a borescope with a side view camera when I received a “deal of the day” notification for this one. The price was right so I bought one and had it delivered overnight, which was a bonus! I brought it to work with me and coincidentally a coworker was asking the technician next to me to borrow his snap on borescope. I told him to try this one since I just got it and was curious how it would perform. He used it to scope an engine cylinder he was having issues with. He came back to me and was extremely impressed with the clarity of the pictures and the features that this borescope has. He also showed it to our service manager and an advisor. They were all so impressed that they asked me where I got it. I told them I got it on Amazon and let them know the price I paid and all three of them ordered one!

Needed some help in enclosed wall wiring issues - this product is so easy to use - it immediately gave me sharp images of difficult to see areas. The light at the end of the camera cable works well - would highly recommend this product - to record you need a micro sd card - a 32gb card was included with the product which is helpful

I purchased this unit to replace a low quality, cheap borescope that I have used to locate roof leaks from below (through a light fixture into a narrow area below a metal roof with no crawl space) and to inspect plumbing and septic tank leaks. It is "all in one" with a color screen and camera in one unit. With my prior scope, I had to connect to an Android tablet or phone. The images are great! Sometimes, for looking at things several feet away, I have to add an additional light source. The unit has rechargeable batteries and runs a long time before recharging is necessary. The price is reasonable and I felt this item was a good value for the money!

great clear image, easy to use right out of the box. only thing i wish was easier to use was if the cord was easier to get into tighter spots; we were using it in our walls and had a hard time pushing it between the beams and the insulation.

Bottom line - this helped me complete a task that I was unable to do without it.Pros: when oriented correctly, decent video. Side camera was an extra plus that allowed me to see why all my previous attempts failed.Cons: I could find two, and one is a big one (which is why it is 3 stars)...read on...I was snaking the camera down a wall for running a cable from the basement to my kitchen. I don't know if it was the original architecture or through some renovations 20 years ago, but the "balloon" construction between the walls ended up with only minor gaps to feed the wires.By itself, I could not get the camera down beyond the first obstacle. The wire of the camera will definitely hold its shape, but in this case, it was a hindrance. I needed a way of moving the wire towards a gap, but no matter how I turned the cable, pushed forward, pulled back, etc., I could not get it to bend towards the gap.My workaround was to tape it to a stiff electrical snake that would allow me to still see in the wall while maneuvering the stiff snake.What would make this 5 stars?1) video orientation. It allows you to rotate the video 180° if helpful, but sometimes you just need a 45 or 90 degree rotation (and again, trying to twist the camera wire once it was in the wall was useless).2) a joystick that controls the camera head... Want to turn the camera to the left? Use the joystick. Need to bend the wire to move around an obstacle? Use the joystick. But alas, no such luck.Again, it served its purpose and I will probably use it again; but if you find one that is truly maneuverable, I would go with that one.

Easy to use although tricky in rough tubing or sharp bends.Purchased to find blockage in 2” sink drain. Worked in seconds. Also used to find blockage in electrical conduit.The sharp edges on the camera housing tend to catch on any unevenness ( a nightmare on flexible conduit. Putting it inside a flexible hose helped but the best cure was fabricating a small sphere to enclose the end of the camera. The manufacture should provide something similar for ease of use.

Handy as a pocket on a shirt. I bought this to inspect the inside of a water heater and it provided good indications of condition of the anode rod and other corrosion. I replaced the water heater before it leaked. A few weeks later I changed the cabin air filter on my truck. After putting in the new filter the heater fan made a vibration and noise. There was only a 1" slot for the filter which was sitting directly above the heater fan. With the endoscope I was able to bend it 90 degrees and look at the fan. Indeed I found the problem of a couple of pin oak acorns and leaves had dropped in. I was able to fish them out and saved removal if the heater fan.Be aware that with the refresh rate on this instrument you will need to be very steady with the camera.An advantage over the blue tooth endoscopes is that I don't need my cell phone and I don't need to update the app on the phone or reinstall when changing phones.
