This was an incredible deal for the price. It takes great quality pictures provides some rigidity so that you can shape it and push it to where you need to be able to view tight spaces. Flexible lighting can view at a 90° and the 180. Super flexible waterproof And was used to bore scope a snowmobile cylinder. You can check both the cylinder walls as well as the piston itself. What impressed me most was simply plug it in and it worked out of the box,immediately with my iPhone without special software or knowledge

This works pretty good and for the money it did what I needed as opposed to more expensive ones which are very clear. For around the house it worked

It’s difficult to maneuver and see clearly. But, it does offer a chance to see where otherwise you would not be able to at all. Totally worth it but would spend more next time knowing it works.

It works and is good for the price. As others have mentioned, you need to be close enough to the object to be able to see. The app is easy to use.

I’ve used much more expensive borescopes for inspections on aircraft and the image this one produces isn’t to far off from the high end units. Granted you need to get the lighting just right and have very limited control over the camera (just bending cable and rotating it on this one) but for 25 bucks I have zero complaints. I think it would work much better inside of a larger cylinder but with enough messing around I was able to see the valves inside of a 1200cc vtwin motorcycle engine. Included some pictures from the side camera of the borescope to show what kind of image quality you could expect.

Found this product when I was replacing the starter on my Honda Accord and needed to visualize things in spots where I just couldn't get a good view. It was a lifesaver! I found it very easy to set up using my iphone and it provides amazingly good video and still pictures using the integrated light source. I find it hard to believe that a product this useful and well made could cost so little, but I'm not complaining. I highly recommend this as I can think of dozens of uses around the house, workshop and garage.

While working on my tractor transmission, as I was lifting the top cover plate, there were 8 tension springs fell in the transmission. I purchased the $180 camera from the cheap box (HF) store in our area. I mainly wanted the magnet attachment for the camera. It was the plastic sleeve style. While it worked for the first couple springs, it was difficult to manage the location of the spring and flexibility of the magnet. As a result, I had to locate the spring then attach the magnet, then repeat. Each time the plastic sleeve wore out and by the 4th attempt, it was falling off the camera, and almost lost the plastic piece and magnet in the transmission too…which good luck fishing that out. I bought this because of the price, and the screw on attachments. I am impressed by the quality, price, and features. The hf model had just a mirror on the same flimsy plastic sleeve. This has a side camera. For $180 I received 30” camera, sd card, and RCA plugs if I want to attach it a tv. This uses native USB-c, with adapters for lightning. I can hook this to my iPad, iPhone and cast or upload from the phone. It had 16.5 ft of length so it is versatile for any of my future needs. I can put the phone in a holder to make it hands free while I fish the line. I was able to easily use the magnet and fish all of the screws out of the transmission. While I was in there I was able to scope the area and inspect the condition too. Image quality is good, light brightness is adjustable, and the magnet is strong. I got my money back from the cheap tool store due to their generous return policy and will buy this again if it fails at this price, quality, and functionality.One down side is it can come unplugged from the phone pretty easily with the lightning port adapter, but I think this is an Apple flaw because they aren’t clicky with their devices. It would be nice if they had something to secure the plug to the phone when using, but maybe there’s a way to isolate the movement at the plug when you’re using it.
