This lift was a lifesaver, I'm building my house and my ceilings are 13' high. I couldn't find a lift to rent or buy that would reach more than 12' max. This lift will crank up to 16' and was very reasonably priced. Good quality for the price !

This lift acts just like it costs (Cheap). I finally got around to using this lift hoping that it would save me some money as I was sheetrocking a garage and didnt know how quick I would get it done. I needed something that went 15' so I gave this a try. Well it worked well for about 5 sheets before I started noticing the pin that holds one of the guide wheels for the cable was already beginning to wear out the metal hole that it mounted too. That was just my initial issue. Plan to have 2 people to just turn the wheel to raise the lift in the air as well. you need to use 2 hands to turn the wheel and the other person holding the mount and lift while you do it. The reason is because after those 5 sheets we already noticed the mount was tweeked or bent at some point where the wheel attached. There is a handle on the wheel but it is of no use as it just wants takes all the leverage off the wheel that doesnt turn well at all. One of the other main safety issues is the brake. From the start we noticed the brake handle to release the wheel once the sheet was up was beginning to get lower and lower on the wheel. It got to the point where it was underneath the wheel and there was not much more room before the brake pad was not even in contact of the wheel anymore. I truly thought the wheel was going to break completely off while using it. From my experience with the little bit of time that I used it since I decided my life was more important than saving a little money I ended up renting a quality lift from somewhere and it was well worth the extra money. I do not recommend this to anyone as who cares even a little bit about being safe especially if you are planning to lift full sheets at a high level. I didnt even attempt to return it as I was out of my 60 day return policy and didnt even have any of the original boxes (which when it arrived was not really considered a box since the only thing holding it together was the banding, delivery man was embarrassed dropping the package off as he said he had nothing to do with that). I wont even resell this item to someone else because I dont want anyone to have to experience the feeling wondering if they will be injured or alive while using this lift. All I can say is if you are a risk taker and want something cheap then this is the perfect lift for you.

I bought and used this panel lift to drywall a small house in Colorado. This product was easy to assemble, easy to use and enabled me to panel 600 sq ft of 4x8 sheets (52 lbs each) in 2 days, solo. BTW I AM 70 years old. The lift was easy to use and allows the user to position the sheets in narrow spaces as well as in open ceiling. The lift will push the sheets tight against the wall to enable the user to fit adjacent sheets easily and precisely. The lifter allows the user to back off the sheets so they can be easily fitted precisely. The lift will stabile carry full or partial sheets easily. It is easy to load, as the design will allow a single person to load and position a sheet safely and stably. I typically loaded the sheets from a 4 ft work table I positioned in front of the device. It was easy to get the scents onto the table, where they could be leaned against frame. At that point the sheets could be easily be slid onto the frame as it took the weight. The frame that holds the sheet will lock flat so the sheets will not slide off, even if you have to have the length or edge hanging out to accommodate an irregular shaped ceiling. It moves well when loaded, and the wheel base and the frame on top move completely independently. It is impossible at least with 4x8 sheets to overbalance the load and lose the sheet. It is so well designed that it can be easily maneuvered into surprisingly small spaces. It is heavy and therefore solid but it breaks down into 3 pieces. I own a lot of construction “stuff” as I typically work alone and need to compensate for being short handed. This is an excellent piece of gear and I would not hesitate to recommend it. There is only one small issue I would suggest the manufacturer address. The lateral supports move in and out to accommodate sheets of various lengths, and there are spring loaded stops that pin the supports in place with a hole drilled into the support. I would have liked MORE HOLES to keep the arms in place when I was lifting partial sheets into a narrow hallway. This device actually made this job fast and enjoyably challenging. I could not have done it without this lifter.

Works great lifting plywood sheets up to 14 ft ceiling ft, others claim wobbly but it is not in the legs it is made that way so one can wiggle and rotate and line the sheet up perfectly from the ground,, a real plus If one hung sheet rock for a living wvery day well,,, you might want to up grade but for the average user works great

I am not a drywall professional but just put up a ceiling of 4 X 12 ft drywall alone. The lift worked great. It is well designed to allow for the crank to swivel 360 degrees for edged and corners and the low profile legs fit perfectly under the lowest rung of a 10 ft Werner aluminum ladder. Nice job.

Just received this recently for our drywall project refinishing the interior of our large warehouse/workshop. Easy to set up, works well, is a tiny bit wobbly but nothing that will effect the functioning of it. It would be a great tool to haul from place to place — it breaks down really easily, requires no screws to assemble, and is reliable and effective. It’s particularly great for tall ceilings/walls and single-man operated jobs. Amazing price at $160 as well, can’t find a better deal, particularly on a 16 ft capacity hoist.
