Used this on two occasions today. Got it to jam up the two horizontal 2x4's on my fence to counter the sag so I can add some mending plates to it. The jack stand is solid. It got enough force to push up and straighten the sagging timber, so strong it actually pushed the nail out of both ends on the 4x4. On one occasion, it actually went and busted the center of my 8-feet long horizontal 2x4. I sort of expected that because that timber has served the fence for over 14 years already and it's got some real erosion through fiber losses. Anyways, this standing jack helped me mend my fence well and supported the horizontal beams until I can screw them in.On another job I did today was using it to readjust the wall tool cabinet. I got a set of NewAge tool cabinets along my garage wall, one of those when I installed it, it was a bit unleveled front to back, so nowadays the problem has become more pronounced where when I opened up the cabinet door, the door wants to close itself back. I used two of these jack stands to support the cabinet while I put on some new holes and screws, then release the old screws to do some final fine adjustments. With the jack stands helping me, the weight of these cabinets are no longer a challenge and I get to free both my hands to get the final tightening sequence while keeping a leveled installation angle. The jack stand construct is mostly in metal studs and ultra-hard plastics. The adjustment handle is stiff and fine tuning against a 80-lb cabinet gives no strain to the adjustment. The jack pads do seem a bit shallow which is my only concern in case the footing breaks and let the rods slip out. But upon receiving it today and put it to two jobs, it does seem to be well constructed and I've experienced no flex so far with these jacks. The highest weight I'm dealing with so far is around 80-85 lbs. Not sure how these will fare against max rating of 154 lbs. These have earned a spot in my tools. Highly recommend these.

I like them. But I'll just tell you cons you can read the ad for the pros. ----If the bases were made of a hard rubber they would be much better. the ad claims to hold 154 lbs. I wouldn't go even a half ounce past that. the 154lbs. this is the absolute max holding limit (not lifting). I have only trusted them with a 100lbs. so far. The feet brake rather easily if the supports are used at even at a very small angle. It's good that they give you a couple extra bases with the supports. I know it sounds like I don't like the supports, but I actually like them, they are handy for all sorts of things. I used one in my pick-up to keep cargo in place just like in the the big tractor-trailers do. They would be great if the feet swiveled just like the ones big trucks use to keep their cargo in place.I really like mine.If you do a lot of odd jobs around the house and your wife isn't always around when you need help, you'll enjoy having these supports around.I hope that my review is helpful..
