I have not installed this yet. The product looks well-made and well-designed for its purpose. I was disappointed that it did not include mounting hardware or detailed instructions. Instructions are simply listed on the side of the box. Nothing looks tricky but locating my screws and anchors might cause a delay. Other sellers have units including hardware for the same price.

What a diffrence this thing makes. My dryer was cold and cold air was coming in. No longer this works great, got one for my dad! His dryer was facing a west wind and it has stopped all the drafts. Real easy to install.

This product is wonderful and reliable. This is our 2nd one. We had the other one for a long time and due to a bad storm it cracked so we bought another one. It is awesome for keeping the cold air from coming in the dryer vent. It is also easy to attach to house.

I installed on of this over 10 years ago it it has worked great! I allows excellent air flow while protecting against outside air and rain from blowing in. Also prevents birds or other critters from entering. With time, the elements has taken its toll and the plastic became brittle and broke during the last cleaning, so I ordered and installed this replacement. My only concern is with the design change from a lid that simply pops off to a hinged lid that puts a lot of stress on the hinge to open. I doubt this one will last 10 years without the hinge breaking off. Would have given it 5 stars if they had stuck with the original design or provided a smooth working hinge.

Very happy with this, had an old vent cover from the 80s that would let in a lot of cold air and spew tons of lint out onto the pathway. I do however: hear a quiet rattle when the dryer is on from the cap that floats. I can only hear it when I'm outside within 15 ft. No backdraft for cold air. Looks very modern and love how it vents out from the bottom. A little big though, but for me it doesn't bother me.

This vent works extremely well at keeping cold air backflow when not using dryer. Easy to install and clean. Love it. But --- it replaces the exact one I bought and installed a few years back. Original wore out sooner than I thought it should. The piston is made of a different (harder ?) plastic than the housing and wore out the piston guide fingers in the housing and the piston stuck in an open position. Without a second thought, I bought another. Original lasted probably 4-5 years.
