I had to drill 13 holes through very hard porcelain tile. I was able to drill all of the holes using only one of these bits. They cut fast and last surprisingly well.

Used these to drill holes in half inch tungsten carbide - slow and steady, no problems at all. Hand drill, press, or lathe; works great. You need to cool the bit with water every 20 seconds or so, but I haven’t found a better way than these for nice clean holes.

These drill bits are good for 2, perhaps 3 holes each, and then get dull. I used 7 out of 10 drilling porcelain tiles during my bathroom renovation. If you have a big project, buy a couple of boxes. There are better ones, but cost much more money. So a good compromise

Used on Porcelain Tiles. Follow instructions...start at a 45 degree angle until just cutting through the top layer of the tile, then rotate the drill until a 90 degree from tile (straight in). These bits worked great. Great buy.

GRANITE...Dry diamond drill bits. I was amazed at how easily they cut through granite. Installed two grab bars in my 1.5” thick granite shower walls. I used 5 bits for 10 holes. I used my cordless drill to start hole at 45 degree angle then switched to my cheap corded hammer drill (purchased from Harbor Freight) to drill through. DO NOT use the “hammer” setting on the drill, I only used this drill in normal setting for its high speed. The key is to frequently pull the drill bit out from the hole (plunge) to clear the grit that clogs the hole. I would pull the bit out after 4-5 seconds of moderate pressure dragging grit with it and after a couple of times I then put the bit in a bowl of cold water to cool it down and clean the bit. Take your time, the bit will do the work. A quarter inch bit will leave a slightly larger hole so before I put screws in. I put a plastic wall anchor in with some construction glue on it. Then used 3” screws to get through the granite and dry wall into the wall stud. I located the studs using my finder ABOVE the shower wall where there is finished dry wall, then plumbed down the side to make my holes.

I am happy with these drill bits. I find that if you don't force the bit to drill faster but rather let drill without smoking they last longer. I was able to use these without guide but angling at 45 degrees to give a little groove to the hold bit in place when perpendicular

Bought these because of the quantity for the low price. They did way better than expected! I wouldn’t buy brand name ones over these, well worth the money

I purchased these to drill a large number of holes in porcelain tile for glass shower door and supports. I built a mold to hold them in place. The drilling was fine and they made.clean holes but each hold took quite a while. I switched to a higher quality diamond bit to finish. So, if you have lots of time and high speed drill these are ok Else spend more for a better bit and save some time.

You need a plug in high speed drill. My battery driven Dewalt took way too long. Don't put too much pressure especially when you are beginning the cut. I put 3 layers of masking tape over my mark on the tile so the bit will not slide around. After you are about 1/8 of an inch in then you can put a little more pressure. Patience will save you a broken tile. I have drilled 12 holes and am on my 3rd bit. No broken tiles yet. Best value that I have found so far. Don't waist your money or time at the Big Box store. They will sell you a single bit for $14 that will not work. Been there done that!

They are super little drill bits. They do the job well. Just wish they would last a little longer.

I needed to drill 8 holes through 1/4" porcelain tile for glass shelving in a shower. I started the holes with a much more expensive Milwaukee diamond saw bit with which I was able to successfully start all 8 holes, but the bit was dead by then. I bought this inexpensive set to finish the job, basing my purchase decision on the positive reviews. The bits did not disappoint! I did burn through 4 of the bits, so on average two holes per bit. Oddly, with one of them I barely got through one hole, while with another I did almost 3. Might be some inconsistencies in the manufacturing process.I imagine if I had started with only these bits I might have burned through 1 per hole, but even then I would not be disappointed given the price.Highly recommended.
