These sticks can take a beating! We used to break a pair every weekend and now that’s a thing of the past. Traded splinters for black plastic shavings so they’re easier to see and clean up. Still haven’t broke a pair… Haha!

These are sturdy and feel heavier than 5a to me. The sound great on my ride and highway. I like the wood on the snare and toms a little more. But they are very functional and easy to grip. Good value for the money and I live the color.

I got these as part of a Halloween costume. I was dressed as a famous drummer, and they were the perfect accent piece. I also aspire to play the drums, so eventually I will use them for that, but I don't have my drums yet, so I can't comment on how well they work for that. I also fidget with them, and they are great for twirling. They are hollow but feel about the same weight as a pair of maple 5a drumsticks I own. They have a hole at the tip and a plug at the bottom. I've been considering filling one pair with sand to make dead-blow drumsticks for practice and increasing my wrist strength.

Drum all day. Different material and curves in the length in the handle allow him to master holding different stix. Weights are different, as all six are, so these six give him an edge, over others, who only practice using one kind. Great value and they're strong. My son told me he loves them because learning on different stix makes him a better player.

As an avid drummer, I am always on the lookout for high-quality drumsticks that can withstand rigorous playing sessions. The Drum Sticks 5A Drumstick 2 Pack Carbon Fiber Drumsticks have exceeded my expectations in every way!The first thing that stood out to me was the exceptional durability of these drumsticks. Made from carbon fiber, they are incredibly sturdy and have held up remarkably well even after extended use. Unlike traditional wooden sticks, these show minimal signs of wear and tear, making them a fantastic long-term investment. In terms of performance, these drumsticks offer a great balance and feel. The weight distribution is perfect for both rapid fills and powerful hits, providing a smooth and responsive drumming experience. The 5A size is versatile, making these sticks suitable for a wide range of drumming styles, from jazz to rock.Another noteworthy feature is the comfort. The grip on these drumsticks is excellent, preventing any slippage during intense playing. This has significantly improved my control and precision, allowing me to play with more confidence and ease.Lastly, the sleek design and finish of these carbon fiber drumsticks add a touch of modernity to my drumming setup. They look as good as they perform, which is a nice bonus.Overall, I highly recommend the Drum Sticks 5A Drumstick 2 Pack Carbon Fiber Drumsticks to drummers of all levels. I decided to try these sticks after reading many of the reviews. I don't dislike them, but at the same time I can't say I really like them. I thought the wavy design would be an advantage, but to me, it prevents having a nice feel on the stick . The shape is not quite round also giving the sticks a peculiar feel in the hand. They are heavier than most wooden sticks and weight forward. When playing faster, the sticks seem to flex a little giving almost a "whip" to the next strike. This seems to increase stick speed despite the weight. They seem durable, although I haven't had them long. My wrists get more of a workout than with traditional wooden sticks.

Are they really that bad? No. They are decent enough for practice pads and for those odd times when you get into the rhythm a bit much, drop a stick and need a quick grab. For actual practice on a kit however, the material does not dampen vibrations as well as hickory, so you get this weird vibration transfer that not only feels like the impact goes right to your hand, it gets annoying when you hit the rim and creates fatigue. So stick to wood if you plan to hit hard, but if you're looking to tap, for the cost you pay they're actually pretty good.

I like the color and the feel of these sticks. They give your sound a brighter tone compared to wood sticks.

I bought these to try them out and see if they were more durable than my wood drumsticks. Firstly, yes I believe they are slightly more durable than the cheap wood sticks. For practice sticks, I think these might be pretty good. They were pretty similar in price to the cheap wood sticks I use to practice, but they lasted significantly longer. That said, they did not touch the durability of more expensive wood sticks, and I have a hypothesis about that. The wear on carbon fiber sticks is weird, much like a plastic. Hitting cymbals might nick the stick a bit for awhile, but when the break, they break cleanly in half. With a high quality wood stick, those nicks slowly chip away at the shaft over time until the stick breaks off in a splinter. I can usually see that coming during a show and get ready to switch out. With these, it was a very sudden break that left me with a little nub out of nowhere. My other problem with these is the sound they make. Every drum sounded more tinny and empty when hit, and cymbals were the worst. Within one song during rehearsal when I first got them I knew they weren't going to be show sticks. They were longer than I'm used to and generally sounded worse (to my ear).If I were to do it over again, I'd get these and use them for practice. They really are a solid product, but they do sound like you're using a plastic rod on the drums.

My sons went right down to his drum kit and started with his new sticks as soon as he unwrapped them. He was delighted with the sound and grip. Great value too!
