A drum rug is a type of carpet designed specifically for drum kits, whose primary purpose is to provide a stable, secure surface on which to place them. I recently got an electric drum kit, and I haven't set up in my bedroom with hardwood floors. The hardwood floors have been a bit of a detriment to the drum kit, especially when it comes to the kick pad which tends to slowly inch its way forward as I play. However, this drum rug has fixed all of that for me. It's got a nice grippy rubber texture that helps hold everything in place. The material feels nice and plush, and I haven't had any problems since I laid it down. Highly recommend!

I had high hopes, but this "rug" was way too thin to be considered a rug. The velcro on my kick pedal wouldn't even grab the surface, so it slid around.

It's not soundproof, that's for sure. It works great for non-slip though. It's pretty thin, unlike other rugs I've seen. We're using this rug in combination with some foam pads for my 10 year old's electric kit. It's working well in keeping the kit from slipping around, but our downstair neighbor came up to complain about the noise vibrating over her bedroom when only using the rug.Get the rug if you're interested in a lightweight non-slip rug. Pass if you're looking for something that'll help dampen the vibrations/noise.

This isn't a soundproof floor mat ... not even close :/ It's very light, which is the opposite of what you want in a soundproofing mat. They need to be heavy to minimize the floor vibrations. So that's a let down. It's basically a thin mat, like definitely not made specifically for soundproofing floors/drum kits. Definitely a disappointment. I guess I'll use it as a rug/soft surface between the actual soundproofing and my subwoofers.

We'll see how sound proof this is. Hard to tell since I do have sound proofing panels attached to my music room walls. Really got this for the time's I would need a slip proof surface. 6ft x 4ft is perfect for a 3pc setup (One up, one down, kick & snare) and its super compact to lug around.

This is a simple 6x4 foot drum rug. The rug is kind of thin, but it did a good job of keeping my son's drum in place on his wood floor in his bedroom. The bottom is rubberized and slip resistant, helping to keep the drums in place.This may not be the rug of choice for a gigging drummer, it doesn't include a strap or anything to help keep the drum rug rolled up in transit, and it's thin that it might not take the abuse of set up and tear down for too long.
