Once this scale is out the box it was put to use. This digital fish scale is a must-have for any angler, providing quick and accurate weight readings up to 110 lbs (50 kg). The bright blue backlit display is easy to read, even at night. Although the metal hook is sturdy, its design can make securing the fish a bit challenging. However, the bright blue backlit display is easy to read. Lightweight and compact enough for fishing trips and ensures you never have to guess the weight of your catch again!

Great scale! I use it to weigh my horse's hay nets and feed buckets. It has been kept in an unheated shed with temps as cold as -15 F and is still functional. It got wet and the water froze and it stopped working for a couple of days, but then it revived itself when the ice melted and the water dried.I guess my only complaint would be how quickly it goes through the motions. Once I turn it on and zero it, I have kinda little time before I have to add weight or it'll turn off. It also 'locks' as a certain weight, which is fine, but can get annoying if I am pouring things in slowly or doing another thing that causes me to have to bug it all the time.

Quick delivery. Product is well made and works as expected. Measuring tape is accurate when compared to other measuring devices. I tested the function by weighing an 8 pound barbell and the results were pretty darn close. Now the only question is if the barbell actually weighs exactly 8 pounds :) The hook is for general purpose and not specifically for fish, but as others have done, you can always swap out the hook for whatever suits your needs. I have yet to use this on the boat, but overall very pleased with it at this point. I would purchase again.

I purchased this scale here more than 6 yrs ago & it continues to work great! Was looking for something to weigh items for selling on online auction sites for shipping, so after researching & looking I found this Dr. Meter Fish Scale. Seemed to have gotten good reviews so that helped sway my decision.What also influenced the purchase was:) It's compact so it doesn't take up much space (especially if you store it in original box).) Read out has a bright, glowing LCD screen, and has a nice contrast with big black numbers against an illuminated blue backlight, especially in low light.) Switches between pounds, ounces, & Kg measurements with a touch of a button.) Well designed & constructed. Quality composition & equipped with a collapsible handle made of a durable steel.) In addition to ON/OFF & Unit measurement buttons, this has a neat function which computes Tare weight as well for omitting the weight of a container (although I never need to use it).) Has a strong stainless steel hook on the bottom with a swivel for versatility, but there's a recessed groove on the back for the hook to store, so it doesn't dangle & hook onto anything.) If you need it. this versatile unit contains a built-in tape measure up to 3 feet long, which I honestly forget about as well and an auto-off feature I forget about too!) Takes only (2) AAA size batteries in a compact compartment which last a long time.Because I use this scale mainly for weighing packages for shipments, I put a package/box into a plastic bag to weigh & hang it from the hook.But with that said, what I love about this is scale is when you're weighing an object, hold it up by the handle & fully suspend it, keep it steady while doing so and the scale automatically locks in your measurement!!! It's that easy!!!Another useful way I used this was to measure damaged aluminium wheels - I needed to scrap the metal to cash in for some recycling money & wanted to compare to see if the scrap yard was paying per the weight of my payout. This scale accurately counted up the weight of the wheel(s) upwards of about 26 pounds each without a sweat. Although it's advertised to handle upwards of 110 lbs., I never fully tested the capability, but I'd bet it can do so.My wife & I really love this product for our online selling gig & it has provided many years of countless weighing cycles. I highly recommend this for the duties as a package scale, but I'm sure it's great for fish & the like also.It's been trouble free for us & I think it's going to serve us well for a few more years to come!Get this & you won't be disappointed!!!

Works great. Fairly accurate when I compare it my scale at home (both food and body scale). Only thing I don't like is the hook on it. If they could provide the scale with a clasp instead of a hook for the fish's mouth, then it would be near perfect. perhaps I could modify it myself, but for a product out of the box, I feel 4 stars is fair.

Pro: 2 pile AAA allegate, facilissimo da usare, display ben leggibile, piccolo come un pacchetto di sigarette.Integrato anche un piccolo metro per es. misurazione valigia.Contro: Fattura abbastanza plasticosa.Ho effettuato un test sollevando e misurando pesi certificati da 1kg e 2kg (az. metalmeccanica)Risultato: Misurazione precisa al 100% con entrambe le pesate.Per la cifra spesa sono soddisfatto.

Esta bien, no ocupa nada el asa se sube y baja y la anilla para enganchar a los peces se acopla por la parte de atrás.Es precisa, la he comprobado con otra báscula y la misma pieza pesa lo mismo pero puede variar ya que la coges con la mano y si tiras para arriba pues varía un poco porque haces peso, pero si te quedas quieto pesa bien.En el momento que coge el peso lo para así te queda fijo y sabes lo que pesa o pieza.El metro es un poco cutre, muy fino y delgado y como lo toques con algo de agua o lo arrimes a los peces se oxida si no lo limpias.Tampoco me gusta que venga a pilas, estaría bien una batería pequeñita pero bueno esto ya va en los gustos de cada uno
