This is so easy to do!!! Works great. I keep slicing my irrigation hoses. These devices have about 1.5 inch of tube in the middle so you can cut out the bad section and it still comes together with some slack in the line.

The 1/2” connect simple enough but trying to connect the 1/4” is very hard on your fingers. I’ve ordered some new connectors that have 1/4” cap like the 1/2” cap so I think it will be much easier quicker and stay connected.

We used these to replace another style of elbow after the water pressure and solar heat caused them to fail. These elbows lock firmly to the pipe and do not pop off. The green lock nut can be loosened to enable rotation of the joint and if the irrigation needs to be reconfigured that nut can be loosened and the elbow removed from the pipe.
