I assume this is same as the one that came with their 350 model. That one is still in use and doing well. It is 180 grit also according to the documentation.

Wheel seems to be great. Never got a chance to use it. I have an older drill doctor and it takes a larger wheel that I can't seem to find anywhere Check size of will before you buy. Did not know there were different sizes

I have had good luck with these cutting wheels as well as the Drill Doctor machines they are made for. I have used both the 500X machines and the 750X machines. If you pay attention to the instructions they will do a professional job of sharpening regular high speed type bits, split point HS bits, and masonry bits. For years I got by with drilling holes with some very unprofessionally sharpened bits, but it sure works better to have them sharpened right. Of the affordable drill bit sharpeners I have seen I like Drill Doctor the best.

The diamond blade is unfortunately a mandatory expense to maintain the drill doctors good output.

I bought a Drill Doctor a little over a year ago and was really happy with the way it sharpened my bits but after about 20 bits the stone was almost smooth. I bought this replacement wheel for it and when I tried to remove the screw holding the wheel on it was so tight that it stripped the head and the threads so the unit is useless. The screw is aluminum
