The blank ordered to .250 the actual measurement was .248. I can work with this knowing the size so as to make adjustments.

I was searching Amazon for 3/8 inch drill rod. This turned up at the top of the search and I ordered it thinking it was drill rod. The description was misleading and Amazon has since made it clear that this is a drill blank and not drill rod.

First time ordering from Drill America and chuckled when my 1/4" arrived with "made in China" burned into it. It's well made and the sparks look good. I don't have the means to accurately measure straightness but it seems plenty straight enough as is. Mikes at .245 consistently along the length on both axes and length is 3.968. It's nice to have these available in singles and a full range of sizes. Price could be better but considering single pieces and free shipping, it's reasonable and I'll buy again & recommend. If I find these actually made in America, however, I'll buy those instead.
