I tried everything, baking soda and vinegars 3x, drano, plunger, regular sized snake....nothing worked! But this did, it took some time but after a second try my husband got to the deeply lodged clog in our pipe. We saved at least $400 dollars. Plumbers are expensive! Get this!

Great product, simple to use, fixed my clogged shower drain and now everything is fine. Definitely worth the price and much cheaper than paying $150 for a professional plumber.

I ordered it up thinking that I was going to have to send it back but I wasn't bad need well popped it out of the Pack Box wound out the cord put get to work worked great some reviews said it was a little thin and flimsy I didn't find that it felt pretty sturdy for what I paid for it and instead of putting the snake back in there I just hung it up and let it dry the plan is is to lube it up good with WD-40 and put it back down in there so it doesn't rust I don't know if it will Rust or not but anytime I've ever used something like that they seem to rust out pretty quick so let it dry WD-40 the hell out of it and put it away and if I use it again I'll update the review definitely not commercial grade but handy for home use okay done

I followed the youtube tutorial by the plumber from "This Old House." This was so easy. I had about 4 inches of standing water in the tub and shower (they go to the same drain line), and within about thirty seconds of using this auger, I already noticed the water was starting to drain a bit. I kept feeding out the line, locking and cranking as directed, and I used just about all of the line to be sure. I then yanked it out and as you can see, a big glob of mostly hair came out! I actually ran the outside garden hose with a trigger sprayer, and shot straight down the drain for a few minutes. The most important part is that you must remove the drain stop assembly and feed your auger line down that pipe. Super easy, and worth every bit of the 30 dollars out the door price.

So, for the price this item is OK and will get you out of a bind but understand it's made from really cheap thin plastic so not going to hold up to as the label says "professional use". You can see the handle is an outline with a thin inner piece (not comfortable at all to hold) In the photo of the back panel you can kind of tell it's thin by the fact that the panel is wavy. That all being said, the metal spring portion is descent and does actually work and that is the important part for occasional use, even when (rather than if) the handle were to break off you could still use this just it would be a lot harder..So, do I recommend it? Yes, if you just want to get out of a tight situation. As an example I recently paid a plumber $200 to snake a paper towel out of the toilet (that a guest flushed for some reason) and this would have paid for itself if I had it then. My sister uses my shower and the drain gets slow after a month due to hair going down (tried products to stop the hair but they all failed) and this would make it easy to get that clog out.

Great price, fast availability and delivery. However, I ordered this item to help me clear a blockage in my kitchen drain pipe. The wiring advanced as described but would not retract. Crack in handle developed while turning the handle which eventually broke after about 10 minutes of use. Due to the urgency of my need I did not have time to request a replacement or repair. I headed out to Lowe’s and purchased another for a similar price that was a bit more durable and able to connect to my handheld drill. Blockage was cleared, water drainage restored.

Did not work. Read other reviews so i was able to not break it. But even with reaching to where the clog ended up being. It did not grab anything. I took the drain apart and it was a hair/gunk clog, Exactly what i thought this was designed for removing.

This is a functional product even though while winding it up the first time the plastic housing broke. It still works fine though

Simple and basic tool to clean out the clogged pipes. It can be pushed in all it’s length. Only don’t let the end go in. You will have to pull-push the cable numerous times to flush out the fat gunk clogged in the pipe. Longer time the better. It is a mini workout I must say. My kitchen sink pipe is finally clean and water is flowing with no clogging anymore. The gloves are nice too and was helpful with handling the dirty gunk stuck on the cable. Satisfied with the auger 👍.

I had my bathtube clogged, I tryed chemicals and didn't work, so I bought this drain snake to help and in 10 minutes my drain was unclogged. I did it myself and it was super easy, I tottaly recommend it even if you have never unclogged anything in your life. It is worthed your money and you can save a lot with calling plumber.
