We feed our 3 little dogs chicken and blue berries chows, and we used to cook veggies to add. This is such a fantastic time saver and extremely healthy for the dogs. It takes about 7-10 minutes to hydrate, but I am preparing the chows so it works out great. The dogs loved it, from their first bite.

Dog didn't like it at all. The disappointing thing is he can't return it so basically lost the money

My dogs hated this. They had been really keen on one of the powdery meatish ones and I thought that they would enjoy this as well. Big fat no!! I reached out to the manufacturer and tried their suggestions but nothing worked. They did not offer me return or replacement and I thought they guaranteed the product. So beware 😒

We have 2 Great Danes. This was the only way we could move to feeding them real food rather than kibble. Over eight months on the program and dogs that had arthritis and movement problems are running and jumping like puppies again! You can see the difference good quality food has made!

My senior labrador was diagnosed with stage 2 CKD. The vet recommended I put her on the prescription dry food. I had done the research and wanted to find a different kind of food for my beloved pet. I found Dr. Harveys. It comes with directions for all types of diets. I can control my pets protein intake, which is important in a kidney diet. It is very easy to make, measure out water and measure out the mixture. Combine and let it sit to rehydrate. I make my pets food fresh every morning, with eggs and either chicken or salmon. I do not feed raw but I guess you can do it with this mixture. Funny thing, my vet didn't know anything about this food. After my dogs last blood test, my vet said her kidney levels have really improved, she is very surprised and suggested I keep doing what I am doing. Oh and my dog loves this stuff, she never has an issue eating!

This food is great for picky dogs that like vegetables. I moisten it and add additional ground meat.if any is left over, I give it to my other dogs. I don't let it go for more than 12 hours in refrigerator.

It's convenient & easy to prepare, but my dog doesn't like it as much as Canine Health. Since she has kidney disease, she needs moderate protein, low phosphorous and high calories to keep her weight stable. Just doing this product with protein & oil is not enough calories for her, but it has the lowest protein & phosphorous next to Paradigm, but that product doesn't have enough bulk. Its a constant battle to give her enough calories, appropriate protein & phosphorous. I was preparing fresh vegetables with pasta, protein & oils and was hoping to sub out this product for all the vegetables. Not too much luck though. I would think that this should work if your dog is not too picky

Product has a variety of dehydrated vegetables. Once hydrated the pieces are good size to mix in with any protein. My dogs liked it. Only problem, delivery to Canada took too long to receive 😔.

We use this product as an addition to the raw meat for our dog. This combination gives him all the neutrino he needs each meal in a healthy way.

The bag is the size of a dog food bag, and it expands when you add water, I mix up a cup of product then freeze into ice cube trays so I have small servings, that I can add to the dogs kibble. I just take a couple out in the morning and place in the fridge to defrost till supper time. Dogs like and the smell is not too bad kinda like stove top. Alot more healthy then adding the mixed frozen peas and carrots you can buy at the grocery store.

Update: April 9, 2020 mid-bag #2. My dog loves this. Mixed with olive oil and a bit of fish oil, she chows on these veggies as if they were made out of fish. Her condition is slowly improving but I can't attribute it to this product only as she is on a diet that includes it. It's part of her getting better but not solely responsible for it. Bottom line: If your dog has allergies, this may help and it's a reasonably priced low labor option for adding balance to a raw diet. My dog eats raw white fish, Dr. Harvey's veg, a few ounces of cooked liver, olive oil and white fish oil.My biggest dogs has been having allergies for the last 7 months. She's older, 8 years old Rottweiler/Weimaraner mix. She's lost 10 lbs, half of her hair has fallen off and she's gotten to the point where she's refusing to eat. I have had to hand feed her for a week before finding this base mix. She was on a meat, liver, sardines, spinach and kale diet for 3 months and she started spitting out the meat. Only wanting the sardines, then after a few days, the liver and sardines got spit out too so I switched her to raw white fish out of desperation, she's allergic to salmon and even hypo-allergenic kibbles made her break out. She ate all the white fish for a few days but demanded to be hand fed. I needed something to supplement the raw fish for a balanced diet.I bought the Veg-A-Bowl not having much hope. Either she would spit it out or she would break out but I'm happy to say that after 3 days of adding this to her flounder, tilapia and swai, she is devouring everything. I'm not sure what tastes so good to her but she inhaled her meal when she was barely eating the fish just days before. There is something in the taste that she definitely likes and I like that she didn't break out. I used olive oil and mixed fish oil caps. It's the only recipe I've been able to find without any of her allergens in it. She reacts to salmon, pumpkin, rice, and a dozen other ingredients regularly found in "better brands". I am buying the larger bag today and hoping for the best. I give it 5 stars because she licked the bowl clean and didn't react in her first 3 days of eating it. Update to come in a couple weeks.
