Empecemos por lo que me gustó: llegó bien empacado y con los aditamentos que se muestran. Su funcionamiento es simple e intuitivo, aunque se agradece que el instructivo también tenga un apartado en español. Ya lo probé en campo y tiene un buen alcance (unos 8 cm más o menos). Lo sumergí en agua y no tuvo problema. En pocas palabras, es funcional y es un muy buen producto en términos costo/beneficio.El "pero" radica en dos puntos: uno, no hay forma de apagar la linterna, esta siempre permanece encendida; dos, en ocasiones me ha dado señales donde no hay nada. Debido quizá a su alta sensibilidad, es posible que llegue a detectar los minerales del suelo mostrando una señal débil. Pero una vez que se aprende a distinguirlas no hay mayor problema. En términos generales, me parece una buena compra.

I've only used this pin pointer once, so I can't really give an educated review yet. I like the LED screen. The instrument worked fine the day I used it. That is about all I can say until I've used it for a while. So far, so good.

It works fine! It was use it to help find my husband weeding ring that fell in the snow, so I would recommend it forever!

I like the quality at the price. The pinpointer works well at detecting the items. It is light and easy to carry. The instructions for use are good and the detector is easy to use.

This definitely works in helping to find targets more efficiently, but it has some drawbacks. First, it beeps if our metal detector is anywhere near it, so once we find a spot to pinpoint we have to set the detector down a few feet away. If you touch the ground with the tip it will beep, so we've been tricked by that before. It doesn't detect very deep - only a couple of inches most of the time. We often have to open the hole to get it close enough to pick up the target. We have used it underwater and it worked fine and there were no issues with water getting inside and causing damage. Also, the battery has lasted a long time. I like that you can put it on vibrate so it's not disturbing to those around you. Overall a good buy, I just wish it could detect targets further down in the soil didn't misfire so easily.

Just received this today, and although I didn't really take it out detecting yet, I find the build quality and functionality of it quite good for the price. I put it on my table and introduced CDN coins to it, and it seems to start detecting them at about 3.25 inches from the pointer's tip. I'm sure this will be a good pointer to compliment my new Nokta Triple Score. If any problems arise, I will edit this post, but for now I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend if you want a decent pinpointer without breaking the bank.UPDATE: I finally took the pinpointer out and this is my update. I really think this pinpointer is excellent value for the money. It is very good a pinpointing a target, and responds very well. One thing I noted is that it does get interference from my Triple score if I lay it next to the hole, this is solved by placing the detector a bit further so as not to get interference OR pressing the filter button on the pinpointer, which works but you lose a bit of Dr. Otek's range. Not a big deal. On the down side it is a bit too easy to accidentally press the power button when holding the pinpointer, I think with time I'll adapt to a better way to access it. For those who don't read instruction manuals, know that once you power on the pinpointer, if you fast press the power button twice it shuts off the LED light. I would not have known this had I not read the manual. I still highly recommend this pinpointer, I believe it'll be my pointer for a very long time.

Great price compared to the popular brand names. It starts detecting about 2” away and the light display and sound lets you know you found your target. Very light and easy to use.

DR.ÖTEK Metal Detector Pinpointer for Adults; I had my house & garage roofs re-shingled and even though they had tarps around the perimeter there were many nails left. From previous experience, I knew any nails left could eventually make their way to my concrete drive and I could get a flat tire. The roofers used their large magnets during & after but by walking over the area many nails got embedded in the soil & grass mat. I methodically went over every square foot by hand over several sessions. I learned this tool quickly and knew when the signal was from a new nail and old metal that was 2" down. Was it hard? It was as hard and took as long as my weeding, and that's how I looked at the task. Now I can enjoy my expensive new roof.

I absolutely love this pinpointer. It has made finding objects so much easier. My Dr. Otek metal detector locates things when I sweep the ground, but once I dig I need this pinpointer to, well, pinpoint precisely where the object is. It’s so easy to miss something small - you might’ve already excavated it without knowing and this little baby narrows down where to find it. It is really sensitive and you can personalize its settings. I like to set it for both vibration and sound. Since I’ve gotten it I have more confidence than ever that I can quickly and efficiently locate those hidden treasures. Dr. Otek has done it again!
