Your cart is empty.The original Doug's Headers has announced a new and improved version of their popular all stainless steel construction electric exhaust cut-outs in 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch diameters. The engineers at Doug's have taken their famous electric exhaust cut-outs and dramatically decreased the size for more versatile installations while lowering the price as well. These cut-outs feature a rugged gear reduction 12 volt DC motor and a rotating gate for a leak proof seal every time the cut-out is opened and closed. Unlike butterfly style cut-outs the Doug's cut-outs don't have the leaky gasket sound and when fully opened there is no exhaust flow obstructions. A pre-wired harness with an illuminated rocker switch is supplied for easy installation. Un-cork your exhaust with the flip of a switch from you dash. The cut -outs are ideal for race tracks that don't require mufflers. These Doug's cut-outs are available in singles or pairs and in complete kits with Y-Pipes for easy installation.

I put these on my 2011 dodge charger RT. The install went well enough and the wiring went fairly smooth as well. Pretty much plug and play. Just need to get 12V from a nearby circuit. You have to cut a section out of your exhaust pipes to insert the supplied Y pipes, so there is no turning back once they are installed. You only get enough cable to go from below the steering wheel, through the floor and have the actuators right below your feet, underneath your car. The cable will never reach towards the back of your car.These things worked great for about a year and a half and were extremely handy. From stock exhaust to straight pipe at the touch of a switch. I even removed the actuators and placed the caps on in the winter to save them from the Ontario salt spray. Unfortunately the y pipes seem to be poorly coated steel and have started to rust and leak. The actuators themselves are also leaking around the gate and one of them has stopped working completely.They dont seem like they are quality enough to try and repair them, so I have just left the caps on and will have to replace the Y pipes soon enough once they rust off and the leaking becomes unbearable.I had a lot of fun with these while they lasted, but was hoping to get at least 4 or 5 years out of these for what they cost me.If you are going to put in the work to install a system like this, look elsewhere for something made of stainless steel and that offers a longer warranty. These are only made to last just a few months longer than the warranty..

Worked good for about 1 drive around town then just started leaking out of nowhere from the valve,will open but wont completely seal when shut. Tried to contact speedway motors , was told contact tech department and couldn't get help. Oh well quick 5 hundred down the drain. Atleast it came with end caps so I can bolt it closed. Just another example of pretty much everything made today is garbage

SUPER construction and looked forward to installing - much better quality than all the others. Went to install on my 2014 3.7L Mustang coupe and would not fit. Advert for got to mention that may not fit on custom exhaust. I an running log tube x pipe headers. Just make sure you have plenty of room if you purchase, but again, great quality.

I really wanted to use Dough,s cut outs but they are too big to fit under my 2015 Caramo ss. It has no clearance to install them

Quality of these cutouts is great. I wanted to run cutouts on stock exhaust on a 15 mustang GT, so I chose the closing style of Doug's over QTP. I wanted to DIY so the slip/bolt on seemed awesome. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that the clamps and Y-Pipe were not tight enough to keep the exhaust tube from twisting from each other. The placement of the Y-pipe relative to the muffler did not provide enough support. So a quick weld job at the local garage fixed that completely. Other than that the cutouts have been funtioning flawlessly after multiple weeks of being opened and closed.

I put these on my 05 Mustang GT. They installed just behind the cats but before the H pipe. I have the Eibach Sport springs, struts and shocks so the car rides low. These fit nicely up and under the car into the crevices of the underbody. You have to make sure you rotate them for maximum clearance. I have heard a few scraps on the pavement (low speed and predictably over small speed bumps and such). I do completely avoid normal size speed bumps in parking lots and such.Switch installs wherever you want to put it. Wiring is easy.I also bought the partially curved tips to go with this to put the exhaust and sound on the ground.My car sounded great with cams before.... now it is complete friggin awesome when I want to open it up.
