So glad I found this double-sided tape. My area rugs with padding are still firmly in place after over 3 years of heavy traffic and cleaning. Recently a family of pigeons decided to take over my terrace so I purchased spike strips and 3M outdoor double-sided tape to secure the spike strips to the concrete. Maybe the 3M was a knock-off or not for outdoors but it wouldn’t stick to the concrete so I returned that tape and thought maybe to just try this tape since I still have plenty leftover. I was so impressed!! This tape secured the metal spike strips to the concrete immediately and firmly so these aggressive pigeons won’t be able to move the strips as they did when I first laid them down without securing them. I still have plenty of tape left but I’ll be purchasing an additional roll because I never want to be without this double-sided tape. Keep in mind that it is SUPER strong and you’ll need to wipe off your scissors frequently with a damp cloth or sponge but it really does work indoors and outdoors.

This was bought to adhere 3 x 5 entry area rugs (no plastic backing) to carpet. It was advertised to hold carpet to carpet, but in my case, it is not working and the rugs are not held in place. After I lifted the rugs I found the tape strips bunched up and useless. I would not recommend this for carpet to carpet.10/28/19 UPDATE: Although this product did not work as I'd hoped on my carpet to carpet application I am sure it will work very well on hard surfaces. AND, to my surprise, the seller contacted me right away and offered to refund my purchase and see if there was another type of tape that may work better. THAT is wonderful (and unexpected) customer service which, alone, deserves some stars. Just be sure of your application before you buy.

I tried plastic disks with teeth that supposedly bite into the rug; I tried putting those non-slip white spongy things with holes designed for use between a rug and a wooden floor. I had tried everything. NOTHING worked.I started off using Kraftex with a single throw rug as a test. This 4X6 rug was placed on new expensive carpet, and I was a bit apprehensive that the tape would damage my wall-to-wall carpet. This throw rug always moved away from one wall and formed a hump in the middle. Therefore, it seemed to me that I only needed Kraftex on one of the four sides; the side near the wall. Kraftex worked instantly, like magic! I have had it down for a couple of weeks now, and it stays in place. It hasn’t moved a millimeter! So far, so good. But when I need to remove the throw rug, would my expensive carpet be damaged? I took the manufacturer’s advice and bought a spray can of GOOF OFF adhesive remover. I carefully lifted a corner of the throw rug and was surprised to see it lifted with not much effort without the GOOF OFF, and the expensive carpet was not harmed whatsoever! You could not tell Kraftex had been on top of it!One mistake I made was that I applied the Kraftex to the whole length of one side of the throw rug. As soon as I put the throw rug down, I realized that this was complete OVERKILL. I’m positive I would have gotten the same amazing results if I had just used just a few inches at both ends.

My old retriever was having difficulty getting up and down the stairs. I needed something that would hold the stair tread carpets on the hardwood. THIS. IS. IT!Note to self -- use a utility knife to cut. Originally started with scissors that quickly became gooey with the super sticky adhesive. Switched to the knife and all was well.I placed 13 treds in no time and even had to reposition two of them. The tape held well to the wood and released from the carpet side. I have full confidence that these will stay adhered to the stairs and that my old girl will be just fine going up and down now.If you need double-sided tape that is real, really, sticky this is the stuff to buy. I can see the large roll (for a very reasonable price!) being used for other projects around the house as well.

I purchased this product - to use as intended - I was looking for a way to adhere my entryway carpets to my hardwood floors as my cat likes to tear through and uses them to steer... which caused pile-ups at the end of hallways. Cute, but annoying. It works - 100% as advertised and will do the job - as described. I would be willing to place my own reputation on that...However - I do not feel the manufacturer is doing the product, and what it's capabilities are - justice. This really truly is the best adherent product I have ever used - and there have been many - I like to tinker... It is easy to use - easy to stick - thick enough to be pushed into porous materials - and thin enough to be used between just about anything and not be seen. (The only thing this product could not replace as an adherent would be something where a non-sticky side is required - i.e. scotch tape. I would also be wary to use it on paper - as the glue-type material would likely cause the wet paper poster look that is caused by rubber cement type materials. BUT - if you stuck it - it would not come loose - unless you wanted it to - and yes - I think if done - you could even remove it from paper - providing you did it within a short timeframe.)I have found it's uses to be absolutely limitless - and haven't even started to break into the roll I purchased - it will likely last a lifetime. I just hope - that when I do need another roll in 10 or so years - it is still available...This stuff - is absolutely amazing - it can be used anywhere for anything. They are marketing it completely wrong. This stuff is portable - 2 sided scotch tape type glue - and can be used just like that. It can be applied to just about any job or project or repair to just about anything known to man - and it will adhere. I have had not one issue with it sticking to any and all surfaces. It is amazingly gooey - and will when forced - works it's way into the smallest cracks - so it can even be used - in a way - to replace super glue on a small item repair. This stuff is amazing.About it being removable - I have even had to remove it - and it was difficult to pull off - but I was able to remove it from a hard surface - with help from a solvent - it came off without issue (without the solvent it did leave a slight residue that was hard to remove). I do not think it would be easily removed from the backside of a carpet - it would likely tear it to pieces - so if used on the back - your carpet - it will stick - fairly certain the carpet would be intact and undamaged - but, removing it from a piece of carpet would not be advised. In my opinion, why would you want to remove the tape from the back of the carpet? That usually means you are moving - buy a new one (I guess if you have expensive throw carpeting - maybe this would be a concern - myself - this is not an issue). There was a negative review about this - so I felt it was relevant and I do agree with what they said about the back of a carpet - it is relevant - but not deserving of a negative score. I don't think it would be easily removed from the back side of a carpet. I just wouldn't try to do that. This product - as a carpet tape - will do the job 100% as described - it WILL stick. This product as a general adhesive product - is even better!
