I have two dogs who enjoy taking walks together. One is a 60-pound, 10-year-old Australian Shepherd who is a heeling champ and never leaves my side, and the other is a 1-year-old, 30 pound mixed breed who has the energy of a caffeinated squirrel.I had been using two leashes, but that often became a nightmare. My younger dog would want to explore and jump and run in circles, while my older dog would look at the younger dog like she was an embarrassment to the canine community. Often, my younger dog’s excitement would result in me being tangled and nearly tripping when she’d dart across me to chase something, and then there’d be a whole spinning dance that I’d do to try to prevent being tied up by two leashes. While fun for the neighbors to watch, I didn’t love it.This little contraption has alleviated a lot of those problems. I put my younger dog on the outside and my older, heavier dog on the inside closest to me. I find that my younger dog’s behavior is actually being calmed by being attached to her older, more well-behaved sister. Not to say she doesn’t get jumpy at times, but her shortened leash and the fact that she’s connected to her sister stops much of the attempted exploring.The handle of this leash has a nice, thick rubber cover which makes it comfortable to hold. The leash material is sturdy and I see no reason why this shouldn’t last for a very long time. All of the clasps are quick release and high quality.The only issue with this leash is that it has a strong odor that has taken quite a long time to dissipate. We’ve owned this for nearly two months, and it still emits an odor. It’s no longer overwhelming, but it is still there.Overall, this is a nicely priced, high quality leash that has made walking two dogs with very different personalities quite a bit easier.

It’s a great set up but I worry it will fall apart with two pulling GSDs. It’s held by strong glue.
