But... hard to get to on a 2018 Buick LaCrosse. If you are hesitant with your ability to drop the gas tank in order to get to the location where this plugs into the vapor canister, I would leave this to one who knows what they are doing.The part is quality, well made and come with the pigtail.IF you are throwing a P0446 code, I would first suggest removing the right rear wheel, remove the wheel well protector (easy to do, as it is hinged in the middle, allowing access to the fuel vapor vent strapped to the gas filler tube, which is most likely clogged with dust and dirt). Remove the two filters and blow them out. Replace the filters and reattach the vent to the filler tube.This worked for me and did not require going any further with the repair as the code did not reappear.

This fixed the P0455 diagnostic trouble code on my 2014 GMC Terrain. The code was coming on and off and tried to replace the gas cap, but the code came back on. Then I replaced this part and it fixed it. It was an easy fix. Took about 15 minutes. Comes with wiring harness that I did not actually need. Just about anyone can do this job. It takes a 10mm socket with extension and a pair of channel locks. To do the job just open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then find the charcoal box located in front of the drivers side rear tire and in about a foot under the car. No jack was needed. Find 3 10mm nuts holding the charcoal box to the frame and remove them. The box will hang down. On top of the box locate the sensor. Lift up on the red tab to unplug the wiring adapter. Then turn the sensor with channel locks to the left. Wiggle and pull it out. There is a notch that it has to fit through. If it is stuck try turning in another position. It will eventually pop out. Then repeat the steps in reverse to put the new one on. You do not need to unhook any of the lines from the charcoal box. The wiring harness they give you will be helpful if your wires are broke. Otherwise just use the original one. A fairly simple job. Fixed the code.

Used this on a 2006 Cadillac SRX 3.6L,it did fit with the wire adapter,the original plug it’s different.Just had to remove 2-10 mm nuts holding it to the chas and 2 hoses off the charcoal canister,(a little tricky to remove these).Removed PO442 engine code.

At top of sellers ad where I purchased this Evap Valve solenoid it reads "Warning, MFR indicates this is a cap prop 65 item, use with upgraded wire and harness connector". No where on this ad does it state that the wire connector is included nor has a photo of it with the valve. I went and purchased a harness from another Amazon site so I would have both items. When the evap valve solenoid came in, lo and behold the harness was with it, and harness was being shipped out so I could not cancel the order. Spent almost $20 for a harness I did not need. Guess I am stuck with it.
