The original equipment turbocharger oil return line on certain Chevrolet Cruze vehicles is made of plastic that can eventually become brittle from underhood heat and normal wear, and eventually develop cracks and oil leaks. Eventually, those leaks can lead to overheated or insufficient oil flow and cause costly damage to the turbocharger. This Dorman OE FIX upgraded turbo oil line matches the fit, function, and flexibility of the factory line but is constructed of much more durable corrugated stainless steel in the line's flexible center section, securely mated to rugged aluminum connecting ends. This improved design helps ensure proper oil flow while offering a more reliable, long-lasting repair. This part is compatible with the following vehicles. Before purchasing, enter your vehicle trim in the garage tool to confirm fitment. [Buick Encore: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021] - [Chevrolet Cruze Limited: 2016] - [Chevrolet Cruze: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015] - [Chevrolet Sonic: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020] - [Chevrolet Trax: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021]

Fit perfect and much more robust than the cheap plastic OEM one! When you change your turbo, for sure change to this upgraded stainless steel tube. You will more than likely break the plastic one trying to remove it, but his one won’t break if you need to remove it again. Great part!

I like this replacement part because it is a metal tube. It is a little bit harder to put on but it should last longer than the plastic tube.

I had replaced this part about a year ago with a plastic one, It had developed a substantial leak where it goes into the oil pan. When I removed the plastic one it was loose and upon inspection I could see it had slightly warped from the heat and the o-rings were brittle. This metal one is stout and fit nice and snug, it won't deform like plastic, now my leak is gone and I'm confident it will stay gone!Be sure to try your best to pre-form it into shape first, use your old one for comparison!

2013 Chevy Cruze 1.4 turbo, the original plastic oil drain tube cracked and leaking oil, it would be nice that the plastic outlives the turbo, but no, you have to remove the turbo to replace this. This metal one is the way to go, only negative is it didn’t line up, no problem, you can bend it to line up, placing the turbo 3 times in place and bending oil drain tube to line up, still well worth it to go with this product, I did have to use a long screw driver to Align the gasket to the turbo in order to thread the bolts. I wish it were formed for perfect fit, that’s why I give 4 stars.

Quality part and robust in design and materials. Much improved over original plastic and metal factory design. 100% metal materials will last and not become brittle like original. Perfect fit and had no leaks after installation.

I bought this part when I replaced the original turbo. Unfortunately, this part wasn’t brazed correctly and leaked between the upper flange and the corrogated tube. Took me way too long to realize what was happening and had me under the car multiple times before I realized that oil was coming through the part. Frankly, I had an issue with the Dorman turbocharger as well (wasn’t machined correctly on the inside of the air inlet). Though I’ve purchased plenty of Dorman parts in the past, I will probably avoid them in the future.

About a year and a half ago I replaced the turbo on our 2018 Buick Encore and when doing that job the factory turbo oil drain tube (which was plastic) crumbled into pieces during uninstallation. I bought another factory (plastic) oil drain tube and installed it with the new turbo.Just last week I noticed some smoke coming from beneath my hood and investigated... that plastic oil drain tube had cracked and was letting oil spill down onto the exhaust and get blown all over the side of the engine as well. It was just a year and a half old! After looking around for something better than the plastic tube I found this Dorman steel tube and knew this was the solution. As far as installation goes it was a bit tougher to get aligned than the plastic tube (kind-of to be expected since the plastic tube is more flexible than the metal one). I had to use some long-handled channel locks to grip the turbo side of the tube and twist/align it to the bolt holes. Since the steel used for the tube is fairly thick this took a bit of effort and time. The quality of the product is what I would expect from Dorman. They've been around for a very long time and I've used their products on more than a few vehicles (in fact, the new turbo I installed on this car was made by Dorman, and it's been perfect so far). The oil pan side of the tube is thick steel and has dual o-rings, one being a high-temperature o-ring. The "flexible" part of the tube is quite heavy duty steel and tough to bend... even though it looks (from the pictures) as if it would be soft and easy to manipulate. The turbo side of the tube is also steel and comes with a steel plate gasket. As far as quality goes, I would give this product a 10/10.If you have a GM vehicle with a 1.4l turbo "Eco Tec", and you need a new turbo oil drain tube... I would highly suggest you get this one. Avoid those plastic units... if I hadn't caught this problem early, I could have dumped all my oil on the road and had MUCH bigger problems! I can easily see this unit lasting the entire life of the vehicle!
