Aston Martin had discontinued radiator drain plug availability for its DB7 Vantage. Searched wide and far and discovered Dorman 61138 Radiator Drain Cock was a direct replacement for original. Certainly price was right.

See pics for comparing with MazdaSpeed3 OEM plug. You need to reuse the rubber gasket from OEM.It has deeper screw notches, decreasing the likelihood of stripping it next time. Lesson learned, don't over tighten it.

Changing coolant by flushing it out once every two years is generally a good practice. This time while replacing coolant I noticed that the Radiator drain plug's rubber had disintegrated itself thereby not making a proper seal. This replacement Radiator Drain plug from Dorman fitted perfectly on my 2001 Ford Focus ZTS . No leaks. Rating it with five stars!

This part is not listed here (or at many auto parts retailers) as being compatible with a Mazda3, but it was a perfect fit for my 2007 2.0l. Is identical in form, fit, and material quality to the $14 part Mazda sold me.
