This will not fit a forester. It is just long enough you can't thread it in without pulling the radiator

There is no drain to the hose fitting. Unscrew the plug till your antifreeze leaks, slide the hose fitting part back to the radiator (which does not sea)l, and watch your antifreeze run all over the floor. Stupid product from a usually good company.

Unlike it's appearance would indicate, this device has no internal valve to direct the coolant to the spout.

This radiator drain plug has a hose fitting which allows you to drain your radiator without fully removing the plug. Attach a 7/16" I.D. piece of tubing to the hose barb and unscrew the plug about 3-4 full turns. It's not a perfect seal and may drip a little bit, but works well enough.

the actual petcock fix just fine but the little nozzle doesn't work because it doesn't attach to anything and then it just leeks all over the place out of that nozzle and everywhere. this thing is junk

I needed a new one to replace the petcock that I accidentally stripped on the top of my MR2's radiator. This product is fine and is the exact same style as the ones on my radiator, but this size is not quite right. I needed one in 10 mm X 1.25 size, and this one is too big. I ended up ordering Dorman 61114 for the right size, but unfortunately that one didn't have the ring that goes around it, so I relegated it to the one used for just the drain plug, and put the one where the drain plug was onto the top.

Purchased because the packaging and size description indicates the size to be M12-1.25. It is not M12. It measures to be M10-1.25 which is too small to fit my M12-1.25 radiator drain thread. Not happy!
