When the item 1st arrived, I did a quick inspection because the original one was still installed on the car and everything look correct. Took the old one out put the new one in and the frame fit perfectly. Went to go wire it back in and the wiring hornist is different. I have my vehicle saved in the Amazon garage and it did in fact, say this fit in my vehicle. Hoping to save someone the frustration going through the whole process and realizing it does not fit. Yes it’s a simple repair but who has time to waste nowadays.

I ordered this to replace the blend door actuator on my 2011 chevy equinox. Fits perfectly. Item as described. A bit tricky to install but watch a YouTube video and anyone can do this themselves. Been installed for 2 weeks now and works as it should. I would recommend and would by again.

Fits perfectly for my 2013 GMC terrain SLE. Worked first try and my a/c is no longer blowing on just my toes. I have full car circulation!Btw, if you're looking up how to change this one under the driver dash, there are 5 bolts holding the on star system. One in the way back once you pull the OS out. And make sure you reset your fuses.GOOD LUCK!

Easy install but a tight spot to remove screws. Old part would not fully open blend door to get full heat. This part was plug and play and revolved the problem. 4 stars now but 5 stars if the part last.

Works great. Looks the same. A bugger to get into spot if equinox.Big help. When you remove old one. Unhook electrical plug. Remove 3 screws. Pull straight off. Then new on put flat spot in same spot as old one. Then slide back into spot. My controls all worked this way. Have read there is a way to recalibrate electrical. If on an equinox, get flexible and do some googling. Took 1/2-3/4 of an hr. It is a challenge and I do lots of wrenching!!

I purchased this Dorman 604-185 door actuator for my 2011 Terrain. The 2011 Terrain has three of these devices (all identical) to perform the following three functions for the heating / cooling system: (1) blend hot and cold air based on temperature settings, (2) direct airflow from floor to passengers to windshield based on needs, and (3) allow for fresh air into the vehicle or instead recirculate the cabin air. In my case, it was the airflow actuator (2) that was not working. Although I could adjust the temperature from hot to cold, and choose whether or not to recirculate the cabin air, I could not change the airflow to defrost the windshield or redirect the airflow to the floor (air only blew out through the main passenger vents).I contacted my dealer to check on a repair, and was quoted a high price, mainly due to labor, but also due to a steep mark-up on the part. The repair estimate was $90 for the part, and $300 - $350 for labor, plus taxes. This was a significant difference versus the ~$20 purchase price for this part on Amazon.I did some research to determine whether or not this was a repair I could perform myself. Of the three actuators, the #1 (hot/cold blend) is the easiest to replace (accessed from the passenger side underneath the dashboard, mainly requiring removal of the glove compartment), and the #3 (cabin air / fresh air selector) is the most difficult to replace (located toward the middle top of the dashboard above the radio, requiring significant disassembly of the dashboard and components). The part I needed to replace, the #2 (airflow director), is accessed from underneath the dashboard on the driver’s side, requiring modest disassembly of some panels and components, and a bit of patience with awkward maneuvering. However, I felt it was within my ability. The job took me a little over two hours, which I could easily cut in half now that I know how the work needs to be done, and as a result I saved quite a bit of money. The Dorman 604-185 was a 100% drop-in replacement, and it works perfectly. If you have modest mechanical abilities, and are willing to spend a few hours underneath your dashboard, replacing this part yourself could be rewarding, both financially as well as personally.
