Works like it should. Make sure to install to the pump first or like me you'll realize it won't go on after the water pump and fan ar in place.

Needed a new water pump for my '88 Cherokee 4.0L. The water pump uses a straight inlet tube from the heater core with the hose having the bend. This changed in '91 to using the "90 deg" tube that's listed here. My old tube was original to the XJ and in bad shape. New ones are unobtanium. So I took a leap and order this one. Threads match perfectly. It took a bit of trial and error to get orientation just right so it doesn't interfere with the valve cover and other hoses (so "dry fit" it a few times). I had to trim the hose (also recently replace) to fit. Overall fits well, doesn't leak and doesn't crowed that area by the thermostat housing.

Saved me the hassle of taking the stock one off of the old water pump which was really rusted up. I applied some Permatex white teflon thread sealant on the treads before putting it on the new water pump. I did put the new water pump in a vice to tighten and align the inlet tube up for the heater core hose. Once I had it lined up I tested the line up by putting the water pump in place found I was about 1/2" out of alignment so back to the vice and I adjusted it to fit perfectly.

Perfect replacement for my rusty 20 year old one. The quality is similar to OEM and was super easy to install on the new pump (while OFF the vehicle). The idler pulley will also need to be removed to provide clearance for installIt came with a thin layer of some kind of red sealant on the threads, but I threw some permatex high temp sealant on it too. I just snuggled the pipe up and tightend until the angle matched the old pump and pipe... using the old as a template, side by side, off the vehicle

I had to do a coolant system refurb on my Jeep WJ 4.0. The main problem was a worn out fan clutch but it was leaking around the water pump too.I did the "while you're in there's" too so water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, thermostat housing, heater hose pipe and Fel-Pro upgraded gaskets with Honda-Bond RTV Silicone sealant and a new serpentine belt too.Everything worked great but to get the old fan clutch off I had to cut the nut part that screws on to the water pump shaft. I used a new Milwaukee M18 Orbital Super Sawzall, my reward for doing this DIY job.I didn't want to buy the Sawzall but after trying two parts store rental fan clutch removal tools with absolutely zero success, I got medieval on it. 15 minutes and two saw blades later the repair could proceed. The lower fan shroud fasteners are another pain in the ass for that job but after that, no big deal. After carefully cleaning all of the gasket surfaces and applying a reasonable amount of Hondabond, everything reassembled easily, I put the old hoses back in place refilled the system and burped it.Now my engine temperature stays right at 195 I think and beside warming up, the needle never budges. Before it would overheat if I wasn't traveling at 45mph+ and I had to add coolant almost every time I drove. That was mostly the fan clutch causing that but everything I used to fix it is working perfectly so far.

Good Quality and fits but you will need to bend the pipe slightly at least I did for my 00 WJ.

I put this in my 91 YJ 4.0 online 6. It fit perfectly but it freaked me out a bit because it didn't screw in all the way. I got only like 5 turns n I put it in my vise, carefully, n got 1 more turn. I got scared so I unscrewed it and did it again. Same result so I left it n tried it out. It fit in line with the hose n didn't leak. I still didn't trust it so I unscrewed it again n put plumber's tape on it n screwed it back on, 6 turns, n it's been just fine. I've driven over 600 miles on it so far with no leaks or problems.

This part worked well, fit properly if you install it properly! I struggled to line it up similar to the old water pump (if you get a new water pump you should just get a new one of these to, it's not worth the effort to remove the old pipe and reuse) and ensure that it was tight. I stepped on the water pump and tried to tighten it, but eventually I was killing my self with no gains. Then it hit me, unbolt the A/C Compressor (don't remove the 5th bolt that connects the a/c lines though!), put it to the side, and bolt on the water pump to the proper torque. Then, use a good wrench to finish the pipe alignment. I was nervious when I started, thinking the pipe nut was stripped by myself earlier, but a little elbow grease finished the job without issues and I did a little dance before I connected the rubber hoses and completed the easy job...
