Had old amc pacer calipers. Could not get out bleeders. I tried to drill them out, but could not get them to seal, so with these you drill them out and retap for these. Save me allot of grief and money! Have A Great Day!

If you follow the directions correctly this actually will work. It blew my mind that this ten dollar kit was able to save me from alot of labor and having to buy a whole new caliper in order to get the old rusted one fixed that would not hold pressure. But pay attention closely to what these other people have said about what size tapping kit you need because it doesn't tell you that on the box for this kit.

I had a one-year-only caliper with a broken bleeder which I couldn't find a new or used one. I drilled out the old bleeder with an 11/32 bit (in steps, of course), tapped it with a 1/8-27 NPT pipe tap. Teflon taped the bushing and screwed it in. Screwed in the bleeder and installed. Worked perfectly! Saved me a lot of grief.

Was in a pinch having to repair a completely rusted bleeder screw that eventually snapped.I used the smaller of the two sets, drilled out and tapped the caliper. It worked!I’m going to replace the caliper later, and I didn’t feel this was a good long term fix, but I have no reason to believe it will fail.Only complaint - the documentation could be way better! Like, making it clear what drill and tap sizes to use! There is no mention of what size to use for the larger set!

Bonne reparation

These are good if you're in desperate need, but they're pretty low quality and will corrode and strip out easily.

Worked on my 2002 mustang v6 rear caliper. The old valve was stripped and done, a new one woulnt work, rather than buying a new caliper, i bought this kit to repair it.I used the larger fitting in this kit, youll need a 7/16 metal drill bit and a 1/4-18 NPT tap for the larger fitting, which is NOT detailed in the instructions, my hardware store helped me find those sizes. Tip : use a vice!Im giving it 4 stars because the bleeder valve in this kit feels like its loose inside the fitting, and because the instructions onle gave me the drill/tap size for the smaller fitting.so far no leaks over 3 months.

Dorman technical support line is awful. The information on the back of the package doesn’t make any sense, so I had to contact their technical support help line. First, my email to them went unanswered. Then, I called Dorman support line at 9:15 AM on 10/28 to find out what size drill bit and tab I should use for their brake bleeder repair kit. The guy who answered the phone was rude, changed his mind on repair kit threads and then would not tell me what size tap or drill bit to use. I was told to look it up. When I told the Dorman support personnel that he was rude and I wanted to speak to the manager to find an answer to my questions, the support personnel started yelling at me! He yelled, I HELPED YOU, and what do you mean I didn’t help you. I hung up, without finding a answer to my very simple question, “What size drill bit and tap does your repair kit take?”Stay away from Dorman products, you will just have troubles!
