I bought this to make a banjo bolt stopper plug so I could purge a high point in a badly routed mc brake line. This lets me disconnect at the caliper and raise the line so it will bleed without having to unmount the caliper. Ther caliper input is high enough that there is no bleedback during a quick disassemble and insertion into the caliper itself. To make the stopper I drilled and tapped a small square piece of aluminum to make a flat mating surface for the threaded end to seal against. The mating surface had to be flat for the sealing washer to work. I found that common nuts have a champfer (countersink) edge that prevents a good. Hand tightening was sufficient. I won't need to use this often but it was worth thr biuld.
