Like a bonehead I cross threaded the fill bolt on my 6R80 transmission (2014 F150). Rather than re-tapping the housing, dropping the pan to clear out the shavings etc, I popped this bad boy on. Works great! I can't keep the dip stick in it anymore but I just keep it in the glove compartment. No big deal.

Had a plumbing emergency and this device saved us from wasting a lot of hot water. I used it on circa 1968 plumbing (quite rough inside) and it worked fine. Note that I used it in a 3/4" pipe so I'm not sure it would work for a 1" pipe, but I recommend it for 3/4" piping.
