After a year and 2 weeks vacuum gave up. Conveniently just out of warranty. Pool is used by adults — so no kids banging the vacuum or any other excuse. Do not purchase

Bought this product at amazon because it was $90 cheaper than at the pool store. I had this product before. I was replacing the one I had that was four years old. It is easy to install and does what it says it is suppose to do.

I’ve fought with this thing since the first day. First You have to have the water pressure from the pump perfect or it will not operate correctly. Too much and it climbs the sides and sucks air. Not enough and it gets stuck at floor and wall. After six months I kinda figured out my setup for suction, But there’s more pain coming….After six months you’re gonna need parts. Rubber skirt, gears; because they’re cheap plastic and get worn, brushes, and a spring that has to be tensioned perfectly. I hope you’re not only handy but a mechanical engineer. After you decide that you’re up for the challenge get your wallet out. These parts are all crazy priced. Just look on amazon. You will need parts every six months. The unit is super basic and in no way should be 500 bucks. It’s just a plastic housing over a geared vibrating brush suction setup. The gears make it run a simple pattern. That’s it. It comes in a slick box which probably cost more that the unit.I’m embarrassed I bought this garbage, should have just set 700 dollars on fire.
