Nice looking viewer but is blurry. No idea how to tell what youre looking at. The focal point must be way off. Do not buy if you are trying to actually see what is on the other side of the door.

Not many of the regular hardware suppliers have a door viewer this short in their lineup. But with the popularity of fiberglass exterior one panel shaker doors, it was my only option as my large central panel was 7/8” thick. Not installing a viewer on the stiles. That’s just silly. This worked fine. 9/16” spade bit. Or 1/2” and do some rasping. Careful you avoid blowout. Silicone the outer piece before screwing on the inner or you’ll get a draft. Tighten with the edge of a putty knife. Nickel finish was good. Glass lenses could be a bit clearer and more polished. But it’s fine. Privacy cover was riveted on tightly so it doesn’t swing open on its own.

The optics are plastic and not very good, but it fits my door and it works. Be careful if you need to remove it as the front will unscrew and the plastic lenses will fall out. Ask me how I know...:)

Fits nicely, looks good, easy to install. But like other reviewers have stated, the view is a little blurry. Not sure if this has to do with the length of the unit or the lenses.

Easy to install with 15/16 drill bit. Just screw two end together .. Caution only works for thin doors. Will not unscrew more than specs. Say. Note It can be Unscrewed From outside but I did not see issue for my use You can see outside fairly well. Quality is good. If it’s a must to have a huge view with a larger diameter hole then piece than this won’t work
