Seems structurally to be sound, however the interior speaker hole is a 1/4" out of round so are the speaker mounting holes on the longer ends by almost 1/4" and do not line up. I was going to return them but with the aid of a soldering iron and a jewelers file I was able to adjust them enough to make them work. A simple quality inspection would have seen this. However after reviewing competitor adaptors they all seem to have this discrepancy. Not sure why.

Could have gotten 5x7 but component for door speaker 6.5 with this adaptor is much better

As soon as I put the screws in the spacer split. The quality isn't good.
