About the 3M Sticky Pad
- Others: without 3m sticky pad. You may need extra help with extra hands just because you have to hold the scar plate in place while tightening the knob screws, especially if you are installing both scar plates on the same knob.
- Ours: come with 3m sticky pad. Just stick the scar plate onto the door hole and you don't have to hold it by hand.

Easy to install backing plate. Between you and me, I used this because I drilled the hole in the wrong spot… the wife will never know.Easy to install and stick instantly. Made of sturdy steal plate.

These are definitely a life saver, I have a bedroom door that someone in the past had drilled the hole for the handle wrong and it was always an eyesore, these did a really good job of covering it up and saved me from having to replace the door.Material quality is very nice, it's thick metal and doesn't flex, the foam tape also does a great job holding it in place, it even came with a spare piece of foam tape.Overall I am very happy with these and I would gladly recommend them

This is exactly what I was looking for. My office door is in the basement and it’s a thin wooden door that is required to be locked while I’m working due to company policy. The lock I have on the door is a smart lock, but unfortunately anytime I try to turn the handle it will pivot up or down depending on which way I go and I used wooden shims PVC shims and anything I can find to try to get that to stop.This two piece of metal plate was perfect cause then I can put the lock right on there which does compress against the lock and it’s so easy to put on with the included 3M strips perfect standard size cylinder plate.Even has extra 3M sheet and you can use the centerpieces are left over for other projects.Perfect product, great price, great quality

At the time of receiving the item, the white plates were $14.36 CAD, while the black were $9.99.I'm giving this four stars because I think ~$15 is too expensive, $10 feels like a much better price for this item.I ordered these in order to repair damage to one of the doors in our home. It appears as though someone had slammed the door hard at one point, and damaged the wood around where a doorknob would attach -rendering it unusable. I've been looking for a way to address the issue without having to replace the whole door. When browsing around I noticed this product, and thought they might be the answer to my problem. After installing the plates I have been able to strengthen the area and fill in where material is missing, so I can finally attach a doorhandle, knowing it will also be strong enough to last.The metal squares are stamped steel, and well finished -there aren't any sharp edges, and the paint used is either a powder coating, or something else that feels quite rugged. To my surprise, the foam adhesives provided for attaching the plates are manufactured by 3M. In my opinion 3M produces the highest quality adhesives, and these didn't disappoint. They secure the plates well, and several spares are provided in the package.If you're looking for a way to repair a damaged door I think these are an excellent way to do that, and would wholeheartedly recommend, though I wouldn't want to pay more that $15 for it.

These MOSECYOU door knob plates are a simple solution for covering up old door knob holes and wear marks. The square shape and white finish give a clean, seamless look. These door knob plates were just what I needed to cover scratching and denting around the locksets. Two of my entry doors have deadbolts and lever handles which have been upgraded over the years, as keypad , biometric , and then smart locks have become available. The leversets have loosened, and/or been replaced, leaving scratches and dents around their mountings. These very heavy weight plates will cover a myriad of cosmetic and mechanical defects. They are more than just a cosmetic fix, they actually are a thick metal reinforcement. Why buy a new door, or resurface and refinish the current door, when you can peel and stick these thick, smoothly pre finished plates instead?

The plates are strong, I am excited to apply them to harden my door lock. The stickers mean I can take the plates with me if I am moving.

I won't be ready to paint this old door until maybe spring, but I'm so happy to find these door knob plates in the meantime. The adhesive-backed plates secure easily and quickly, and they covered up dents from a previous door knob installation that apparently went sideways. The plates feel sturdy and seem like they'll last a long time. Highly recommended!
