I use these on my dog for vet visits and when I trim his nails. He is not violent, but will nip or threaten to nip when he feels scared. I just wanted something soft that wouldn’t rub his skin and would just be kind of a gentle muzzle. These work well for him. It keeps him from trying to nip and makes me less worried about incidents at the vet. He can breathe fine with it on and it stays on well. Sturdy and made of quality material. I’ve also washed it and it did fine.

The xs size worked great for ten pound cranky old shih tzu with very short snout. Cutting his legs and feet has always been a gambit, but he’s become just about intolerable to it as he’s aged. Couldn’t use as tight as would normally be proper because you have to watch where it goes by the eyes, but it tight enough to stay on. Once he realized he couldn’t bite down on the scissors (or my fingers!) he gave up and resigned himself to his haircut. I recommend for both your safety to try this out.Lots of extras that will get donated to our local shelter.

You can not keep it on them for a walk. They can not pant or drink mouth stays totally shut. Kind of cruel in my opinion. Never used them once I put it on her for a second and seen she couldn't move her mouth. I threw them away

My dogs HATE getting their nails clipped or their ears cleaned! This product was exactly what we needed for quick use of popping it on their nose just for a few mins to get their nails clipped at home. Durable yet super lightweight and easy to buckle!

Got these today for a vet appointment as my German shepherd has severe separation anxiety and my vet is still not allowing owners into the facility. I only needed one, but the price was good so I thought I would donate the rest. I did measure my dog, but according to the chart he was supposed to wear the size 5. He's not a huge GSD, just 75 lbs. Uh, nope. Had to use the 7. I will try the fit again with the 5 or 6 when I have someone here to help hold the dog, but the straps aren't that long to go behind the neck and clasp. One of them should fit though, it seemed not too uncomfortable for him.As far as quality, these are not heavy, more like the nylon used for reusable grocery totes. If your dog is extreme about trying to get the muzzle off, it might not last long, but for a short use it's probably fine (vet visit).
