This works great for potty training. Especially when you live on the fourth floor.

I bought this to be used as a potty training place without the grass. I don't have the patience to clean the grass every day, and it gets smelly if you don't. However, for the grate as a potty training place, this is not good.First, the interlacing plastic that lets the pee go to the pad is too thick, so pee remains in the grate. My dog steps on it and there is urine all over the floor. So it defeats the purpose. The grate itself is also very fragile. One of them cracked just with regular cleaning. (I bought 2) I am not a strong lady, and I don't clean things like a hurricane, either. So, this is to say, this is fragile. Vendor, please consider selling the grates separately for replacements like with the grass. The plastic that holds the grate is fabulous and well-made. There is no way your dog will get the pad inside of it. The only problem is that to take the grate out, there is no structure. I had to buy a snake device to be able to lift the grate from its panel. Vendor, redesign to have a place where your finger could easily snug to open this. The grate is quite above the pads, so there is no chance your dog will come in contact with the pad. Which is one of the reasons why I chose this structure actually. The only problem is that - as I sad - the grate is poorly design and pee stays on top of the grate. Vendor, please redesign this so that the pee will flow down for those who want to use it without the grass. Even for those who'd use it with the grass, can you imagine the urine staying there under the grass???? No wonder this can get really smelly. Finally, the last flaw is that there is no rubber under this to make the structure stay put. Yes, it's easily fixed; you can buy rubbers on amazon and put it on the bottom yourself. But come one. The vendor could have thought about this. Vendor, please redesign this to include rubbers at the bottom.Anyway, the star attribution is reduced because of the many design flaws, but I kept some stars just because it's the only structure currently in the market that has some of my requirements as a pad holder with grate.

I use this for my guinea pig enclosure (I have 3 piggies) and it is the perfect size for their potty/litter bin! I already have two of these which are about half the size of this one. I wanted to make life easier and only have to change one vs two when cleaning.( btw love this design for the pigs because they don’t have access to the plastic liners that go over the edges!) I ended up using the grass for my aquatic turtle basking area of his tank. So it was a perfect fit for our use.

I love my puppy tray. Works awesome. I am an artificial turf installer so I swapped the turf it came with to putting green. Makes it 10x easier to clean. I also have 3 different cut outs so I can let one air out completely. Works great for me. Goodluck.

This potty does not empty well it gets under the rim and makes a mess also the tray in between grass and bottom collection pan keeps urine on it. This product is very hard to clean. My Maltese has always used an indoor potty and this is the worst to keep clean. I’m returning it. Don’t waist your time or money

I live in a high rise in the middle of San Francisco. Going outside for an unvaccinated puppy is a no no. I tried real grass subscription and other artificial turf systems. This one is the best so far because 1) it’s deep enough for the turf to not move around or slip out of the tray, 2) it has a clamp system for your disposable pee pad underneath, and 3) it’s sleek looking. As with all systems, you have to train your pup via positive reinforcement. I recommend versus the 5 other products (doggielawn / fresh patch, other Amazon artificial turf). Get this but please note it’s for puppies and small dogs. I couldn’t find a larger size from any other company.Update: The grass turf needs to be soaked and washed daily to prevent odors. The turf catches the pee so it remains and not all drains down. I eventually removed the turf and just used the grate and tray. This also worked great to prevent the dog from stepping in the urine. As with all systems, it is best to train your dog to get used to the system and reward him for using it.

The bottom tray and the top frame click in almost too well.Which does become a huge issue when you’re trying to clean. You have to work each edge and section to click it out of place and that can be a 5 to 10 minute process and the steaks are high because that pad is full of you guessed it, pee.If this was $35 bucks I wouldn’t have written a negative review.Pro tip:If you end up buying this, take the lower Tray and cut out the lip: it really doesn’t need to click in to be a useable pad holder

So far these work pretty well for rabbits. I like that these are a little bigger and deeper than the ones made for rabbits. It would be nice if there were larger sizes to choose from. Some of the larger poop doesn't fall through the squares. The artificial grass feels a bit cheap and easily pulls out, but for my purpose, it didn't matter

Nice thick grass and the puppies are happy ro use it but after only one week even cleaning it multiple times a day the smell os enough to make me gag. The tray itself without the grass is great if you put pellets in it, the grate makes sure they don't eat it but not for the price.
