My 11 year old dog to right to it. No mess, no mistakes. The pads for it really well. Perfect for my small/med dog. Any bigger, get the larger size.

I wish I'd known about this when my senior miniature pincher was having issues going outside to potty. This thing is amazing! I recently got a puppy who was struggling with potty training because he hates cold/rain and it's winter in the PNW (I don't blame him, I hate it too). And unfortunately the rescue he came from kept potty pads in his bedding area so he refused to go on them. I read all the reviews for this and several other similar brands. I'm so glad I went with this one! Worth every single penny. It's only been 5 days since I set it up and we've only had two accidents! He runs and dives on it then happily lets er go. Ü I plan on moving it to the covered patio just outside the door in a couple weeks, then closer to the yard until he starts going in the grass. I'll probably keep it for future winter/springs in case he still hates the bad weather. There's absolutely no gross plastic smell or pee smell like other products I reviewed. I just changed the pee pad and grass for the first time today and there was no liquid on the bottom of the tray. I rinsed the grass with the hose and hung it to dry. I'll probably hit it with a vinegar solution next time I use it if indoors still. The bonus grass was a huge help when we traveled to visit family over the weekend too. I just put a pad on the deck and the grass on top and he went when I asked. I took a garbage bag and placed the grass in there and brought it back home. Love this purchase and so does Jack!

My puppy quickly learned what the purpose of the pad is! It is easy to clean, leaves no smell or mess, and dries quickly!

I have 3 stubborn dachshunds living in the Midwest. They have a habit of hating to go outside in winter/snow. So we had been doing pee pads but the get blown away or ripped so easy. I purchased this to try something new. It works they took to it immediately. The tray is fantastic too but we also just put the spare grass pad on a pad and it works great too. We have one in with our liter of baby weenies now and they are choosing to pee on the grass rather than in the whelping box! Hoping it will help our new puppy parents navigate training their new puppy! Highly recommended.

Initially my potty trained pup would only use this to pee. Had to spend sometime training her to poop on it because she didn't want to go on something so small; however, she will use it now that she is trained to. It just takes a little coaching. Much better made than any other grass turf I have used and only needed to clean it about every 2 weeks. I use disposable pads under the turf, not the grates and replace those every few days in Addition to spraying with an enzyme based product each time she goes. No odor at all! For reference she is an 8 pound Cavapoo. Highly recommend.

My dog just won’t use it. I had another dog use it to see if that would help but nothing seemed to work. Guess if your dog would use it, it would be great. It was a total waste of money for us. Sorry

This is a well made product, and seems quite durable. This makes it easy to make sure the waste from your pet doesn't get spread around. This has a base tray with a good enough height lip to keep any urine from escaping out of it. It is designed with a tray on the bottom, and optional pee pad that can go over that, or used over the grass to help train your dog if they are used to pee pads like mine is. Then a vented tray section goes on the tray, and finally a grass pad on top. The parts are easy to put in and remove from the tray, but you may have to carry it all outside carefully, depending on how much urine it contains. I think the use of the vented tray design is not good. It is one more thing to clean, and frankly, it makes cleaning up much harder, because if it is sitting in urine it gets the urine everywhere when it is removed for cleaning. This works much better if you put a pee pad under the grass instead of the vented parts, so the urine is absorbed into the pee pad, which can then be just easily rolled up and thrown in the trash, no possibility of spilling any urine, and no stupid vented section to clean. Unfortunately for me, my little dog, who can't go outside without someone with him, because the hawks around here will carry him off if they get a chance, was trained on pee pads for using in the house, and he hates the grass for peeing on, but loves laying on it for a nap. So now him and the cats enjoy laying on the two grass peices, and he uses the pee pad in the tray to go to the bathroom. Still, the bottom tray is great for holding a pee pad in a designated area, and it keeps the floor nice and clean, so I still like it. I think this is a decent value for the price.
