I loved this printer. It was the backbone of my business. Then it all fell apart. YOU CANNOT GET PAPER OR INK ROLLS! All it is good for now is a boat anchor. Over 3 months now and no supplies anywhere on the planet. All inquiries to the company both in Japan and USA are never answered. Total disaster.

Once I figured out how to load the media, it worked perfectly with Windows 10. I use Spyder software to control the colors so didn't need to mess with any printer control options. Just pick 'Photoshop manages . . ', insert the ICM profile and it's done. I much prefer the dye sub printers to inkjets that tend to clog if not used frequently.

I have two of these and a DS620a. They perform flawlessly and provide great quality prints. Originally I used this printer connected to a Windows10 machine and had no problem with the drivers. I now have all the printers connected to a TS-Mini which works great.I used an Xrite i1 Studio to calibrate my monitor and the printer and the colors are nearly perfect to perfect depending on the color range. The black and white prints look great.I use it for panoramas and the prints look great all the way to 8x32.A big advantage of this over an inkjet is that you always know how many prints you'll get and what they cost. Another is that the printer can sit for weeks at a time unused and then print perfectly without having to worry about cleaning cycles or clogs.

Well, the printer itself is great, at least on Windows 7. For Windows 10, they have a driver issue that causes Windows, Lightroom or any program to freeze when accessing Printer Preferences. After contacting them, they offered me a workaround that did not work and no planned date to fix the issue, leaving me to either deal with the issue, buy Windows 7 for that computer, or return the printer. Sigh.
