Beautiful action easy one handed gate operation with solid spring return closure.Finish would have been outstanding if it wasn’t for a small sharp metal spur on one arm of the inside spring gate retainer - top hinge rh side. I carefully removed it with 600 grit diamond file until perfectly smooth. Okay not a top safety hazard but it may have snagged and damaged the rope sheathing! Odd as DMM is a quality product?

I purchased this carabiner to use with my sqwurel when canyoneering. The sqwurel had a tendency to rotate to the spine of my previous pearbiners, causing crossloading. I tried the sqwurel with a number of different HMS style carabiners all with the same result. The ceros holds the sqwurel firmly in place at the top of the carabiner where it belongs. Only once, in heavy flow, did the sqwurel move and the horn stopped any further movement and crossloading. 5 STARS!!! Perfect addition to my canyon harness.

If you're concerned about cross loading your carabiners and are going to the trouble to get a specialized carabiner to prevent it, I think this is the best one currently available. The spring loaded twist locking mechanism is strong and smooth. The horn further assists in keeping your belay device where it needs to be. The wire gate access to the 'pocket' is my preferred design. I use this for holding my primary self-belay device, whether TRing with a MicroTraxion, or lead self-belaying with a Grigri. I couple it with a neck bungee cord to keep light tension on the device to maintain in the optimal position.

The perfect carabiner for belaying. The extra latch keeps the carabiner from cross loading and makes it that much easier to use. Easy to latch/unlatch one handed but feels extremely solid

Using this for my gym locker and simul climbing locker with a grigri to keep the orientation correct. A little heavy for alpine but SOOO smooth to operate. Everything in this carabiner is well thought out. The round stock on top for smooth rope action, the horn keeps a grigri in position, twist lock gate is easy one-handed, wire keeper gate opens down which allows for just easily pulling the belay loop through the opening and "locking" in one clean motion. Love it for one-handed ease of use compared to Grivel Clepsydra K10GS or BD GridLock.

For belay devices that have a tendency to twist or cross-load a typical carabiner, this device is a lifesaver. Perhaps literally. The lock that keeps it stationary on the belay loop solves that problem completely. The action of the catch is also beautifully precise and snappy. It's a VERY well-made piece of kit. Glad I got this!

It's quality made. The red colored "kwiklock" Ceros uses a dual motion to open; twist and squeeze, that's it.The green "locksafe" (my other choice) adds an additional motion, "pull" before the "twist" and "squeeze" for more safety.I'm newer to climbing and I bought this to use mainly at the gym. So when climbing with fellow newbies that aren't belayed certified yet, I'm switching top ropes often. This makes it A LOT FASTER than a screw lock. The extra belay loop"trap" also helps keep it proper so there's no cross loading or flipping upside down etc, during that split second when I was a bit slow to take up slack. I opted for this vs the green locksafe version for the added simplicity and this is plenty safe enough for indoor top rope climbing.
