They work but the way the wiring is configured difficult to put into small head light spaces

After replacing the fog lamps in my 2006 Mercedes e500 with leds, I got an error code on my dash for both fog lights and a consistent blink/flicker (2 seconds on/2 seconds off). Did some troubleshooting and ultimately decided to try these. Installed them and they seemed to work for about 8 seconds then started blinking again. The error message on the dash would pop up and turn off kind of sporadically but overall they didn’t solve the problem. A positive note: the build quality seemed pretty high and they looked like solid pieces of equipment so that’s why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1.

The moment I turned my lights on I smelled burning electronics which I just assumed was the capacitors burning off assembly materials since they heat up while working and ignored it. After a few days of use on the way home from work (20 min drive) the smell stayed and filled my garage to the point I checked if something was on fire. I again ignored it but after 5 days of use one headlight turned off.After inspection I removed this decoder box and the fault was not the headlight itself as it still worked without it, it was this box. Ordered a different set to replace these and have had zero issues since, no burning smell, no problems.These felt good in hand with metal boxes as heatsinks and wiring looked good but after my experience I will avoid this brand from now on.Mind you I got this when there is no reviews because I trusted the brand having other decoders like these and this was in stock for shipping faster. Not worth it. Returned these.
