My boyfriend likes scuba and skin diving, and after about 15 years off I find myself going out on weekends and getting underwater again. I'm thrilled, as I'd rather be active than anything else. The problem I had was that the mask and snorkel kit I got had the old ping-pong valve setup, which I hate, and Rob tried to help by ripping the valve out, That made the tube too short, and I drank half of the lake last weekend. I got this one as it was a J-tube model that I always used in the past.I was a bit surprised to see it rolled up like a nautilus shell, but once unrolled it took form immediately. I guess this is a plus if you travel a lot, but I couldn't care less, as it's going to live in my mesh dive bag forever.I chose the flexible mask mount as it was just easier to get over the oval snorkel tube. To test it out, I bright it to Masters Swim early one morning, and put up with the jokes about me going to the "Dark Side" of the lap swimmers. I did my 400 warmup wearing it for freestyle, and it worked like a charm. The mouthpiece is small, but it's really the same size as the old AMF VOIT snorkels were back when I learned how to dive as a pre-teen. No leaks, I did not swallow half of the YMCA pool, and I'm looking forward to our next dive with my new equipment.OVERALL - You could do a lot worse than this snorkel. I have! KEEPER!

I was kind of surprised when this arrived in a coil, in a little clip it comes with to hold it in that coiled shape. I didn't know that compact snorkels were a thing. And, at first, I thought that meant that the snorkel tube would be weak in order to make it flexible enough to coil up, but it's not. It's plenty stiff enough to hold its shape when uncoiled.I do find the mouthpiece to be a bit on the small side, as if this is not made for adults or the American market, but I was able to get a decent seal with it in spite of that fact.

This collapsible snorkel is very compact and lightweight which makes it great for taking on trips.Pros:Despite the fact that it's flexible enough to coil up and put into it's holder, it's still sturdy enough to not collapse on you when snorkeling.Soft silicone that doesn't hurt when you get smacked by a wave and the snorkel hits you in the side of the head (Yes, I know from experience)Light enough that it doesn't drag down the side of your mask like some doCons:The mouthpiece is a bit on the small sideNot sure about the longevity since it's made to be folded up which creates wear and tear on the materialBottom line: When diving/snorkeling around home, I'll probably use my normal snorkel, but when I travel, I'll definitely be taking this one due to it's compact size and light weight.

This snorkel worked perfectly for me. I needed a simple snorkel with a round top tube to attach a 4 foot extension. This allowed me to access my boat anchor at a minus 2 tide and service the connection with the buoy rope. I just needed a friend to hold the 4' extension above the water line!

The snorkel is made out of a flexible silicone that is soft enough for it to be rolled up in its little carry case but once unrolled it's shape makes it rigid enough to use like any other snorkel. It is a basic snorkel with no inside float ball or lower drain port. I like this type of snorkel where I can pinch the tube just below my mouth and get that last bit of water out after I surface. It has 2 ways it can be attached to a swim mask. One is a standard clip type of affair that was difficult to get onto the snorkel, but holds its place well once it it on. The other is a type of strap. Works as expected and very happy with it.

The length and volume of this snorkel tube are great for anybody, but I find the mouthpiece to be on the smaller side. It is the ideal size for a smaller-than-average male or average female, and it would be an OK size for a teenager/junior. Yes, it folds up great! So far it stays nice and secure, clipped to my beach bag. I like that they have a few color options (I got green) but I wish they had brighter colors that would actually match my other gear (bright red, orange, or blue would match better than dark green or dark blue). But, it's nice to not have all black stuff. The snorkel comes with two different attachment pieces for your mask. I prefer the rubbery one, but I know a lot of people like the rigid plastic clip-type that allows you to clip and unclip the snorkel from your mask really quickly.

A snorkel is a loved and hated device. Dive agencies require them for training and some dive boat operations require them. The snorkel itself is a semi rigid silicone and can be rolled up and stowed in the Pac Man shaped plastic holder that has a plastic snap hook. It wasn't the most comfortable snorkel nor the highest performance breather but it can certainly do the trick for long surface swims to conserve your gas supply. While I have not taken it on a dive, I did test it out in the pool and it worked fine. I stowed it in a BCD pocket and a thigh pocket. The plastic snap hook is adequate to to hold it the daisy chain in the pocket. All told, a good backup.
