I recently needed to take status I/O pulses from a piece of communications equipment that for whatever reason decided to use a DB15HD connector for its status relays. I considered digging out a VGA cable and cutting off one end, stripping back the needed pairs, etc... but that would have been messy and could have gone wrong easily based on wire gauge and strain. With a DIN rail already in place, finding this Interface Module from CZH-LABS made my life a lot easier. Now I've got a dedicated short VGA cable from the piece of equipment to this module, and a piece of Belden three-conductor wire going from the correct terminal positions out to my telemetry I/O box. If anything has to change in the future or if I have to add additional status pairs, this interface unit makes that an easy task. File this under "things I never thought I'd need, but I'm sure glad they exist!"
