This needs to off gas before I try it in earnest.Can't speak much to the quality because I'm a complete novice but everything fits in the case kinda awkwardly. Looks like everything arrived, only the needle case was slightly cracked.Every kit of any kind comes with a million needles at this point. Should I turn them into ornaments? Tiny wind chimes? What is everyone else doing with them?EDIT I've since tried some of them out. Out of the entire kit, I think the smaller gauged needles are the ones I'd likely use the most. Unfortunately most of the tips don't stay attached to the handle while you're working it very well. There are also a couple that don't have handles at all, just shrunk wrap tubing which also slides around while you're trying to work.I think it was kinda worth it for me to get an idea of the breadth of applications punch needle has, but if you already have an idea of what you want to be making it makes more sense to just get a good one in the size you want.Also it still smells

I started punch needle a few years ago with no idea what to get - did I want to do rug punching, embroidery, or both? With this set, you don't have to choose, because you get plenty of different sized needles to do all of it. The larger needles are for rug punching (using worsted or bulky weight yarn with monks cloth) and the smaller ones are for embroidery (fine yarns or DMC floss, used with weavers cloth). You also get different sizes of threaders - you can never have too many threaders - and tapestry needles and thread clippers. The clippers come open more easily than I'd like, so be careful with those.There are different types of adjustable needles in this set. I've found that the type with the twisty knob on the side tend to come loose as you're using them, but the one where you screw it directly onto the handle seems much more stable. I like that you can adjust the length on any of these. Everything is also contained, whether it's plastic boxes for the accessories or caps on all the needle ends, and it all fits into the zip-up pouch, which is so convenient. The long threaders have to kind of be looped or folded to fit in the case, but I can live with that.I wish I'd had this set when I was starting out, even if I would have also been intimidated by the options, lol.

I’ve been doing punch embroidery for several years and I always get asked to teach people when they see me doing it. I got this kit for a good friend who I’ve been teaching and has moved beyond the bloodletting basics. It has everything and more that an intermediate to experienced punch embroiderer would ever need. The quality is terrific and the case is a great way of keeping it all organized.

Tools came packaged inside the carrying case in a organized fashion. All needed points came sharp and easily punches through tufting clothing with ease. Needles are smooth on the inside so yarn wont snag and fray.Perfect tool set for someone starting out, It has most common needles used and different styles to choose from, only thing missing from this set the embroidery hoop/frame and yarn.

Everything you need to get started in punch needle embroidery is included. This covers both larger punneedles for use with yarn, and smaller punch needles for use with embroidery floss. Typically you'll find these for sale separately and one at a time, not the variety of sizes that you have here.Learning form was much easier for me with the larger punch needles (for use with yarn), then using that to work with my much loved embroidery floss.Theses are easy to use and this comes with basic instructions. The utility bag is really nice and well made. This addition is wonderful, this keeps everything you need for your tools and in one consolidated place to find components easily. I also love that all of the needles have protected cases for the tips for safety that can easily be reused.This is a great kit and the collection of all that you have included is one of a kind!
