I bought five of these and every time there's a little knot in the wood this happens.

The shorter length allwed me to drill a hole down through a footer board without tearing up the drywall too much. That said, the tip was wacky crooked, so that initial plunge was all wobbly. Glad I only needed to use it once!

Threaded center point draws bit into hardwood and won't let go. Rate of draw greater than cutting blades can remove surrounding wood; suggesting blades not sharp enough.

REALLY grabs the material and won't let go. Forget trying to back it out if you need to clear the shavings. Does its job though.
