The centre drill pops in, I suspect a ball bearing holds it in place, but you need pliars to pull it out again. Action was a bit stiff, but I suppose it will wear in in time. That, or it will fall to bits. Seems to be nice and chunky and the quick release is great, no more thread bind.

If you've ever struggled with using a screw driver and hammer to extract the wood plugs from a hole saw, you will LOVE how much easier it is to simply pop off the quick release and use the pilot bit to poke those out. Speaking of the pilot bit, however, this one is objectively not up to snuff. Bad metallurgy. They break regularly. Order several replacements or else you're gonna be dead in the water with no warning in the middle of some project

Makes it easy to attach hole saws and easily fit my DeWalt cordless driver. I own other Diablo tools and love their products. My only issue was with the price which was nearly double what was listed on other Canadian tool store websites. Amazon really needs to crack down on the price gouging practices of some of these marketplace sellers.

I bought this thinking I could use a regular drill without a handle on the front or on the side. I bought a drill with a handle on the front just to try it I'm glad I did .Bye the way the drill cost less than the bit and this attachment.
