I never used the word extreme duty before describing a spade bit. But these bits can chew thru nails and wires if present. They come in an awesome carrying case for convenience and quickly finding the bits needed. I give the a 5 Star+ Rating

At first I thought these might be plain old spade bits. But no! These are very heavy duty and will hopefully outlast regular spade bits by a long time!

These work well, actually better for me than ones from Bosch. Will bore thru old, very hard wood (100 yr old floor joists). One bit snapped off at the spiral tip and left it in the wood joist - took some effort to get it out. Be careful, especially with any bit 3/8” and larger, as these bits really grab and can badly twist your wrist. I learned to place the drill handle against something solid, like a joist, to control this.

Pretty sure this is the same as I bought at big box store today.I use a paddle but at work constantly and these are something else. Once they bite in the blast through the the 2x4. They pull the drill through so fast I almost cracked my knuckles on the first one.Not even an exaggeration. Double thickness 2x4 and I was through it in 1 second flat. Rarely shocked by how well a new tool works but these guys shocked me.Used with Dewalt 20v brushless hammer drill on drill setting.

forget spadebore bits. Pulls itself through the wood, Nails? what nails. Wish they were longer though
