A second seal for the bottom of the garage door. The sticky glue was great and has lasted awhile. May have to secure it more later but so far is working to seal the bottom of the door well. Very pleased with this product.

Just installed on two wooden, 8' garage doors. Thoroughly cleaned doors first (this is important!!); cut sealing strip with large scissors; no problem. Mostly sticking securely except for one corner of one door. I pressed on it for a minute, and it now seems secure. If there is any loosening in the coming weeks, I will add small nails (included with order). Note that the sticky side of the seal goes against the inside surface at the bottom of the door. The angled extension (of the seal) then projects under the garage door and hangs down slightly. When the door is closed, this extension is compressed under the door, and that makes the seal.

I bought a house that has a garage that did not have a good bottom seal. Leaves and huge lizards would always enter through the bottom of the garage door. I wasn't able to find the original seal but stubble across this universal one. Long story short, it fixed the issue I was having with the lizards and debris making its way through the door. However, this rubber seal wasn't a simple peel and stick. The adhesive was useless and I had to buy gorilla glue to make it stick to the bottom of my door. For the price, I think it is worth it. Even though I had to rig it with some glue. It fixed my issue and I'm hoping it will hold up.

I attached the strip to the bottom of my garage door and now chipmunks are no longer living in the garage. THe soft rubber conforms to the dips in the concrete floor. be careful to align the gasket exactly where you wan. Once the tape adheres, you can't reposition it.

The product itself is fine. The tape they use is useless. I cleaned and lightly sanded my area with 220 grit. Used a tack cloth then a clean rag with rubbing alcohol let it dry for 2 hours while I tackled a different project then attempted to put it on my door. The tape was very inconsistent in its holding. Some spots awesome can not even attempt to move it. Other places it would not stay adhered. I know my surfaces we clean and prepped properly. My fix was I stamped holes every 2 inches and then made a small 1/8" thick by 1" wide and bolted it to the door. In reality this is the better way to do this. However if you are looking for a lick and stick application I can not recommend this item.

This is certainly not “universal”. It wouldn’t work on our door. The tape didn’t stick at all, even after thoroughly cleaning the door, and would have been better on the other side. It seemed backwards. We had to cut a notch so it would fit around the hardware at the bottom of the door, so now we can’t return it. No instructions came in the package, and since the tape doesn’t work, there should have been a lot more nails. Very disappointed in this product.
