What a load of rubbish — not at all waterproof. I am a swim official and my feet get soaked at meets so decided to give these socks a try. They are about as waterproof as my regular cotton socks. That is, they aren’t. At all. How disappointing.

I live in Maine and during the workday spent a lot of time walking through the snow in the winter time. I really want to try to find an alternative to having to wear snow boots cause by the end of the day I’m exhausted. I’m a crocs girl so used to light footwear. I thought I’d give these a try without much expectation. When I received the socks and opened them, I was like oh these are not going to be comfortable. I was wrong. These are super comfortable. Keep my feet dry and warm while wearing my lined crocs. I was so happy with them I bought a second pair and will be buying more. Fit is true to size. I wear a women’s size 8 shoe and bought a medium.

My Son in Law works at a car wash! I got him a pair of these for Christmas. He loved them so much he asked for more. He said they fit great, didn’t fall down all day, and when he got home his toes weren’t all wrinkly from being wet in his boots!! He washed them every night, till I got the 4 other pair for him, and they have held up very well. No pilling or stretching. I would definitely buy these again or for anyone who wants to keep their feet dry!!

I wore my new socks to play early morning golf—lots of dew on the fairways. My feet, are always soaked by the 2nd hole. But.... not today. My new Dexshell socks kept my feet dry and warm. They work, are comfortable, and well made.

Leider sind diese Socken nicht wasserdicht! Warum soll ich für solche Socken 36 Euro bezahlen? !

I took these socks on a backpacking trip that involved snow, mud, and water crossings. The first day, I wore my darn tough socks and it got drenched and muddy. I was afraid these socks would give me blisters as I had 15 miles left on my hike. They did better than I had hoped. I didn’t get blisters or hot spots. They kept my toes warm and dry. Although they did get a little wet on day 2, I wore them on day 3 and they dried up while wearing them. I will definitely bring these on future trips that require mud and water crossings. My darn tough socks were still wet from day 1 while these were dry.

I bought these sox to use in water shoes and water sandals. I don't like being barefoot in most footwear, but there is no way to wear regular sox in a sandal or shoe you expect to tramp in water in. These were a great find and, honestly, I bought them based on one excellent customer video and the lower price point than other such sox. I figured, let's try at a buck or two lower. Thus far, I haven't worn them in any wet conditions, but expect to during the summer. But I can tell they will be great - they are beautiful, soft, no odor of any kind, fit perfectly ( I'm a women's shoe 9 and bought the medium) and add just the right amount of padding in my water sandal ( which is a bit big, so these sox make the fit perfect). I think that sox like these can be useful in other scenarios - even like urban travel in ordinary athletic shoes to give you security against rainy conditions - your shoes may get wet, but your feet won't , and in the winter to give extra protection in boots. I go to summer music festivals when you never know if it will pour; so I'll bring these along just in case. I hate wet feet!

I am a women and wear a size 8 shoe. I bought the size large, though I meant to buy a size medium. I recently bought these socks because I am going on a hiking trip up to Boundary Waters and it involves canoeing and portaging, which involves walking in water. I wanted something that could cushion my feet to prevent blisters when we are hiking, and also keep my feet comfortable and dry. I had asked a question before buying to see if these were good for hiking, and the only person who answered had written a 1 star review for the socks saying they were worthless. The other reviews seemed good, so I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm so glad I did! Like I said, I ordered a size too large than I should have, but I decided to take them on a practice hike anyway. My friends and I went to a local state park and hiked for about 3 hours, covering over 4.5 miles up and down hills, and also trudging a LOT through creeks and shallow rivers. I have to say, I was really impressed by the socks. They kept my feet dry and comfortable, and I didn't develop a SINGLE blister. The day high was about 85 degrees, and the socks weren't too hot for the hike. The socks also covered my lower legs/ankles well, making it easy to walk through the brush. However, if you step in water that goes above the sock level, water WILL get in the sock, and once it's in, it can't really get out. However, my feet were still comfortable and I didn't even know there was water in the sock until our hike was over. I would recommend these socks! I am actually going to order a longer pair in the correct size, but I'm keeping these ones to give to my fiance (who is a size 12). Overall, good product!
