When I first ordered this planter I had to have a replacement sent because the handles for the recessed planters which sit inside the main rectangular planter box kept failing. A replacement was sent and I have to say that I am not that impressed with this product. I could go into detail about the handles but I will spare you. Sufficed to say that they are not well suited to being handles that can hold the planters when they are filled with soil medium, plants and water.Fist of all this planter box does not come with the hardware required to use it in a window setting. Second, the handles are poorly designed and can fail without much effort (think Lego handle) which can lead to everything falling out of it. Third, the self-watering feature does not actually work, that is, the plater box and the way it has been designed does not make this a reliable feature. Why? The planter box consists of two small rectangular shape planters that sit, butted up against one-another, inside a larger rectangular primary planter box or housing. Now, because the two smaller recessed planters are made of a rigid plastic material and have no seal around the perimeter, water is fee to enter (collect) and leave (evaporate) as it pleases. The plastic of larger planter box housing, being of a slightly less rigid plastic, has deformed to create a gap between the recessed boxes and the wall of the exterior housing. This gap is wider than what existed merely as a consequence of design. This has therefore allowed such undesirables as mosquitoes to transit into the water reservoir inside the bottom of the housing. In fact, this planter has been the residence of choice for every mosquito in the neighborhood looking to lay their eggs. They are able to do this because, unlike the interior planters, the exterior box is subject to deformation from the weight of the recessed planters and water resting against the inside. In short, unless you are using it for very light weight or even faux flowers, this may not be the planter for you. It's not a terrible product, but, I cannot in good conscience say that it merit's anything near what they are asking for it. The planter does not do well under the weight of the water and plants it is supposed to be designed to hold. And, owing to their design, there's a very strong possibility the handles will be flawed or even failed upon arrival.

The parts used to hang the container don’t fit the container into them. Maybe they sent the wrong brackets?

I love that it holds water and self waters when the plants need it. So far works amazingly.

This is a very attractive and well thought out product. The "planters" lift out with retractable handles and the water well at the bottom holds a lot of water with floating indicators so you can tell when you need too water it.

Received this planter today and ordered a second one. It's cute, well made and perfect for our small deck. I plan to fill it with colorful flowers. I also, love the self watering feature.

I bought four of these planter boxes to replace self made cedar boxes I made last year that didn't fair well enough to use again. These seemed expensive, but I am super happy with them. The option with the hanging brackets were out of stock, but I found the exact brackets sold separately on Amazon and just bought them outright. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0986XCTHJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). The nameplate on the front is just stuck on, so they were easy to remove. The bottom holds over a gallon of water. The boxes are relatively heavy once planted and full of water, but the brackets work great and the flower boxes are holding steady. I like the design with the two separate planter inserts with handles. That made it easy. I hung the planter box on the fence railing, planted the two inserts on an outdoor table, then easily placed them in the planter box already hanging on the rail. There was no need to try to balance the entire heavy planter box while centering on the brackets. I'm super happy with these!

I have two self watering planters that I am enjoying so when I saw this, I got it. Fair warning, it does not have the mounting hardware included, though that can be purchased separately, or get the identical listing that includes the hardware. For my purposes, it is fine staying on the railing of my porch. The product has an outer shell of brown rattan weave patterned plastic, and, two inner removable growing planters with extendable handles and water gauges in each. The gauges are not a necessary touch, but an appreciated one, it makes telling when the plants need water, quick and easy. When I filled it with soil for use, the individual pots made it easier to remove and replace, and the watering reservoir works as intended. I have holy basil in one pot, and lavender in the other, hopefully some will sprout.I have one caveat, but it is a big one. This is a great planter, I love the features, it works well, can't wait to harvest basil and lavender from it, but it is not worth 67USD, the price is massively inflated. If this were reduced to a fraction of the current price, I would be one of many customers lining up to put one on every windowsill, but as is, I would sooner build one myself.

1. It’s small. I can’t believe this is almost 100$ the picture with this thing hanging on the railing make it look much bigger than it is. 2. The brackets don’t really fit it very well. One side is lower than the other and it seems kind of warped. I have adjusted the brackets to make sure they are in the same position. And I literally just got it so it’s not like it’s been out in the sun and got hot but if it’s already warped how’s it going to handle getting hot in the sun?! For the size and quality no, there are definitely better options out there. I would not buy this again.
