The design is excellent on these planters, but the ones I received are dark grey, maybe 5 shades lighter than the black liners they came with. So unfortunately I'm removing 1 star for the product not matching the product picture. If you still want to get these planters for the design alone, then I suggest getting brown/tan liners instead of using black so the design shows up more from a distance. The paint is just average and the coating is thinner than it looks on the product page.

Pretty easy to assemble on my own, and- while it hangs securely and fits over my metal railings- it does lean forward a little. I don’t mind it, since it will better show off my flowers that I’ll be planting in these come spring. The quality is great, and it looks pretty durable. One of the highlights of this product is that it comes with liners, and they’re not flimsy and cheap ones either. They feel like they’re gonna last me a long time. It hasn’t rained since I installed them on my porch, so I can’t say if it’s truly rust proof or not. I’ll update if it’s not.One con I should mention is that I wish the screw heads for the brackets were rubber or had some sort of padding to prevent the screws from scratching up my railing. I worry that once I fill them up, they’re gonna rub and dig into the metal paint of my railings and cause rusting. I’m probably going to stick some rubber pieces where the screw heads touch my porch railing.

These are really lovely looking planters with a dark gray metal and black liner. They're 24 inches long and come with mounting brackets that provide multiple options for mounting. I like the fact the brackets are designed so that you don't need to drill holes into anything. However, you need a bannister than is about 4 inches maximum for that to work. I don't, so I just set mine on top of the rail, figuring the weight of soil, water and plants will hold them in place. I will say that I think these are pretty pricey for what you get. The metal is thin and lightweight. It's carbon steel with a rust-resistant coating, but experience has taught me that it will inevitably wear and rust over time - but that shouldn't happen too soon. I haven't used black liners before so I will see how that works in the hot southern sun, especially during rainy season. Fortunately, they will add pizazz to more shaded areas as well.

These are absolutely gorgeous, solid, and versatile. My only caveat would be that the "gray" color looks more like bronze to me. As far as I'm concerned, though, that makes them even better! The felt liners are thick and the boxes themselves are heavy-duty. The best part are the hangers, which allow for so many variations. I plan to use the boxes for some epiphytic plants that like air circulation, so I'm going to screw these to our wood fence -- midway, not at the top. Thanks to the versatility, I was able to flip the tiny L bracket around to give more support to the main bracket. I'm quite pleased!

I ordered two different types of 24 inch planter boxes at the same time and these turned out to be my favorite. Not only are they well-constructed and have a nice pattern but the liner is not made of a rubberized choir like my other one. Instead, it is made of felt and fits perfectly within the metal planter. The frame build is strong and will last several seasons. I’m sure the liner will last at least two seasons. If you do need to replace them, there are affordable options to include additional felt liners. Well worth the price since everything comes in the box and it’s so well made.

Love this planter! I am in the processing of setting up a garden outside and these planters are perfect to add a pretty look to my yard. It also makes it easier to keep an eye on the plant and water it better.

Nice large size, and sturdy but the paint is already starting to peel so they will either need more painting or they will rust

These flower boxes are very nice. They are metal, nice pattern, quality paint, and very solid. They are very attractive and take some weight. Recommended!
