I like the size and strength of this netting, in addition to catching leaves, it captures smaller falling acorns as well!

Great net! Keeps a lot of smaller debris out of the pond. Strong enough to handle small tree branches dropping on it too. I would order this again.

Exactly what it claims to be and easy to work with. Great at keeping leaves out of the pond for the winter

I use this as a less expensive substitute for the Deluxe Bird Barricade Netting (less expensive at the time I bought it - the price increase substantially since I purchased it. ) The very flexible netting doesn't get too easily snagged on blueberry branches. The netting seems to be about a 3/8" mesh compared to the 1/4" mesh of the DeWitt Bird Barricade Netting which I also use. I suspend the netting over paracord tied to between the tops of 7 foot metal T-posts (driven into the soil about 1 foot) resulting in a height of 6 feet above the ground. I have recently extended the height of the metal T-posts by another foot by using a circular screw clamp (like a hose clamp) to hold the rebar. This mounts the rebar parallel to the side of the metal posts. In this manner I can extend the height up to 2.5 feet higher than the T-posts - adjusting the height downward if necessary - in this case to a total height of 7 feet (post + rebar. To prevent tearing and snagging of the netting, I cap the top of the rebar with rebar caps (from a building supply store). These rebar caps provide a smooth convex support (for the netting). The rebar caps are about 2" wide.

This product is so much easier to use than the flimsy netting I can but at the local box store. I've used DeWitt Pond Netting for three winters new and it has been easy to place, easy to put away and very sturdy. Does a great job filtering out the fall leaves so I don't have to clean out the skimmer twice a day. TIP: Put a small round rock (or a golf ball would work great) about six inches in from the edge, tie a piece of cord around it (slip knot is best), then loop the other end around a stake you've placed in the ground. Tent stakes work great. This distributes the stress better than looping the cord through the edge of the net.
