I bought this little guy because the drain plug on my HFCM had corroded and would no longer tighten, it would stick in the hole, but would not even come close to getting snug. I was concerned that I would have to replace the cover/valve section of the HFCM but this new plug threaded in and tightened up nicely. I really like the fact that I do not have to use an Allen key to remove the drain plug anymore, the head on this guy is 19mm, so I just slide under the truck with a box end wrench and pull the plug on the HFCM. Also, since it is a plug and not a valve I don't have to worry so much about the hole getting clogged with debris. I got a bad load of diesel recently and there was a lot of water and a lot of particulate coming out whenever I pulled the drain plug...so much so that I think if I had gone to the valve mod for the HFCM that it would have clogged. Some of the chunks were probability about the size of 1/4 of a tic tac. So, a small thing in real terms, but way too big a thing to come out of your fuel.Anyway, great part, nice upgrade on the head design, and probably the best choice to have made if you get a really dirty load of fuel. 100% would recommend.

My old water separator drain plug o ring was dry rotted so this was a great replacement

Does not work on 05 f250. Barely threads in, too small and will strip out the water separator housing. I almost was screwed and lucky I was able to use the old one. I kept it only to use the washer as a replacement. Poor craftsman ship.

Fit perfect. Nice upgrade from the OEM design plug. The o-ring is a little thicker than the one on the OEM plug. You could feel it made a much better seal. No leaks what so ever. Well worth the cost.

Very nice quality, probably could have made sure with stock it wasn't bad. But seeing how bad some were want going to chance it. Plus glad it will be easier to remove later and not get stripped on a Alan or hex key forgot what it was now :)
